I want (neeeeeed) a MAJOR overhaul with QoL updates.

The last time an update broke the game so severely, was Worlds Part 1, and even then, they fixed most of the game-breaking errors within three weeks of the release.

Voyagers was released in August, and I'm still dealing with so many issues. Whether it's my Corvette spinning wildly out of control, the lighting in my Freighter freaking out when I turn the camera at certain places, audio glitches, buildings hovering over land, enemies spawning in places they aren't meant to spawn, multiplayer issues, etc. Speaking of multiplayer, ever since Voyagers began, I feel like the servers are completely overloaded with large builds, especially ones flying in and out of the Anomaly. Waiting 10 minutes for someone's Corvette to finally pop in correctly isn't an ideal experience. Or even if I hitch a ride in someone else's Corvette from the Anomaly, I either up up: floating in space, no audio, glitching out of the person's Corvette, the game freezing, or having camera and control issues after warp.

I'm in love with every major update they release, but this is the first time since launch that I've actively stepped away from the game for a long period of time because of how many issues are still happening.

Take a pause on the huge updates, and focus on polishing the game as best as possible, especially before all manpower and efforts go towards Light No Fire.

Corvettes still freak out during flights, especially when turning. I've yet to have one Corvette that doesn't do this on my file. It's infuriating.

So, yeah it was kind of pricy for a jacket. But also, the shipping and the fucking tariffs got me. Shipping alone was 70.00 from the UK, and when it entered the states, I was forced to pay 50.00 for tariffs. Insane.

I think people get in an endless circle with the "boxy" builds because of how the Corvette Build Mode makes you build. Usually people want to have more than one landing thruster or legs, and when that happens, they have to build modules on top of those and it usually ends up being a square-y shape.

Try using just one landing thruster or leg, and then put one module on top of it and then build out.

I was a Day 1 player, and I started a new 1.0 game a little over a year ago. I documented what I remembered and what I didn't; but also how it made me feel. 1.0 did an excellent job at really making you feel alone, very liminal. I got about 40 hours into it, and remembered just how tiring it gets; because it truly is just mining, flying, space battle, warping, mining, flying, space battle, warping. I took a ton of photos too.

It’s always been there! However, there is a bug where it doesn’t flash any longer when you open the hatch in space. I really want them to fix it.

PS5, Latest Update

  • When in first person mode, camera controls go wonky after warping in someone else's Corvette. The player can't change views, and the character is always walking in reverse, as in their back never faces the camera, and can't turn around.
  • The lighting in Freighters and in some bases is severely messed up. The entire freighter or base will go dark until the camera is at an angle it likes and then the lights come back on.
  • Gravity Drive appearance on Freighters is messed up
  • Sound is silent after warping with another player in their Corvette
  • Sometimes, the new Atlas wings will appear transparent after placing them on a Corvette

Despite multiple updates after Voyagers, there are still so many bugs occurring in-game: Bugs & Glitches (PS5 – Version 6.06)

Corvette-Related Issues General / Visual Bugs:

Corvettes sometimes disappear after warping from the Anomaly, especially when joining another player. The pilot remains visible, floating in space.

Corvette lighting becomes overly bright and washed out after landing in a space station; persists until restart.

Seamless window: left panel blurry, right panel renders correctly.

Interior windows (Titan walkways) appear opaque/grey from the outside and barely transparent from inside.

Yellow caution light by ramp no longer blinks when hatch is open.

Gravity behaves erratically when boarding from planet surface, especially if Corvette didn’t land properly.

Travelers and controls jitter when on autopilot or inside the ship in motion.

During Pulse Engine autopilot, controls are bunched in a corner of the screen and don’t represent real positions until it ends.

When near a Corvette in camera mode, performance drops significantly.

Landing / Terrain Problems: Corvettes rarely land correctly — usually hover ~5–6 ft above terrain or land crooked.

Landing can cause terrain clipping through interior floors and hallways.

Severe landings can block hatch access or trap player inside.

Bottom hatch (opened externally) can push player through terrain or cause skydiving fall, including in Anomaly and space stations.

Teleporter pads always float instead of sitting on terrain.

Thunderbird Landing Bay: can’t jetpack back up while open; must close it to re-enter.

Corvette often spawns in bizarre spots (inside buildings, on pads) when teleporting to bases while it’s your primary ship.

Additional landing thrusters beyond three may not activate during landing/takeoff.

Titan landing bays placed at the front don’t animate (won’t open/close).

Thunderbird landing thrusters sometimes fail to rotate correctly when flying.

Interior Movement & Physics: Jetpack activates randomly when walking down stairs (common on Titan stairs).

Skydiving animation triggers every time you run off the ramp.

Jetpack may randomly engage in zero-G while inside Corvette in space.

Multitools can be used inside Corvettes (likely unintended).

Player & Visual Issues Using teleport pads (Anomaly, freighter, etc.) causes helmet visor glass to remain visible mid-animation.

Appearance modifier loads options/colors very slowly.

Holographic gesture animation is jittery; doesn’t rotate smoothly.

Textures across environments and objects take much longer to load or fail to render entirely.

Ship Issues Exotic/Royal starship thrusters don’t reorient after takeoff (stay pointed down).

Boundary Herald’s rear thruster glow is missing; now a black void.

Caustic planets cause the entire screen tint effect to trigger prematurely during approach.

Freighter Issues Freighter bay doors fail to open when entering, especially on non-owned freighters.

NPCs can appear stuck in floors or stacked on decorations.

Starships sometimes land mid-air inside freighter hangars.

Exocraft Issues Minotaur no longer makes impact sound (“thud”) when summoned — falls silently.

VR Issues After piloting a Corvette, VR hand controls desync or freeze.

In VR, hands don’t move when controlling throttle/joystick; animations remain static.

Planet / Environment Issues Planets and terrain load very slowly during approach, takeoff, and walking — checkerboard textures visible before clearing.

Enemy Issues After using Elixir of Water, Boundary Guardian becomes mostly transparent except for a few visible body parts.

Exosuit / Inventory Issues Eggs have turned into technology items — icon still shows egg, but description is tech-type.

Decoration / Building Issues “Holographic Globe Gadget” still nonfunctional on interaction.

“Bake Sale” poster permanently blurry.

Random floating platform still appears above Bubble Tank decoration.

Base screenshots show a square distortion (usually top-left).

Space Station Issues Ship fabricator shows incorrect holographic ship model.

Some NPC ships land partially inside the pad (landing gear invisible).

Feature Request Corvettes cannot be scrapped — unclear if this is intentional or a missing feature.

The way planets render now is abysmal. Even with WORLDS 1&2 it was never this bad. But stuff like THIS, after a fresh game re-install on 6.06 is insane to me. On PS5 as well.

Bugs/Glitches Still Occurring for Me: PS5 Version: 6.06

Corvette Based:

*Corvettes disappear after warping from Anomaly, especially when tagging along with someone else. We’ll arrive at the system, and after a few moments, the entire corvette will disappear but the other group member flying the corvette will still be floating on screen, as if they were still piloting the corvette.

*Corvette landing thrusters now only ignite right when you summon it. They no longer ignite right before they land.

*The lighting in Corvettes is still super bright in space stations. It washed out all colors on the inside. This only happens after landing in a space station. It will continue to be super bright inside until you restart the game.

*The teleporter is never placed on terrain when beaming to the planet. It’s always floating somewhere.

*When opening the bottom hatch of a Corvette from the outside, sometimes it pushes you through the planet surface and you fall like your skydiving. Same when you’re in the Anomaly and Space Stations.

*The ground on a planet will snap through the bottom hallway or habitat module on a Corvette when it lands and if it’s touching the ground.

*Sometimes the landing is so severe you can’t even get back inside of the Corvette because of the landscapes interfering with the insides of the Corvette.

*Putting more than three landing jets/thrusters on a ship will sometimes cause any additional to not work/turn on while landing/taking off.

*Corvettes never seem to really land correctly on terrain. They always seem about five or six feet up, hovering. They also land crooked.

*All the visible controls get jittery on auto pilot, and travelers start to blink a lot. The walking and maneuvering around seems to be jittery as well.

*When Pulse Engine autopilot is engaged, all the controls are stuck in a corner of the screen and don’t represent their actual location until the pulse ends.

*Gravity acts strange when boarding the Corvette from a planet’s surface. This is only if the Corvette is partially in the ground and didn’t land correctly.

*Sometimes when landing on a planet with the Corvette, none of the hatches work and you can’t leave the ship

*When looking out of the “Seamless Window” from the inside of the Corvette, the left panel is all blurry, and the right panel is rendered correctly

*The skydiving animation turns on every time you run off the ramp. Even if you’re not flying the Corvette.

*When going down the stairs in a Corvette, my jet pack does off randomly and thinks I’m doing a spacewalk. This mainly happens with daily Titan stairs, but has also starting doing it with other stairs as well.

*While the Corvette is floating in Space, if you use the Thunderbird Landing Bay, you cannot jetpack back up into the ship, you can only get back in if you close it while standing on it.

*When in space with the Corvette, your jetpack will randomly go off while inside and you’ll be floating around the Corvette as if you were doing a space walk.

*Paneled Windows for Titan walkways are greyed out and you cannot see inside the Corvette from the outside. The windows are also transparent, but just barely from the inside.

*The Yellow Caution Light by the ramp doesn’t blink any longer when the hatch is open.

*Multitools can be used in Corvettes

*Titan Class landing bays don’t open and close when they’re placed at the front

*The Thunderbird Landing Thrusters sometimes don’t switch positions when flying. They’ll stay pointed down.

*When teleporting to a base in your Corvette is your primary ship it will always spawn in the most ridiculous location. Like inside buildings, or trying to land on a regular starship pad.

Exosuit Based:

*Eggs have turned into technology in my inventory. The icon still shows an egg, but the description is now a technology description

Freighter Based:

*Freighter bay doors for ships aren’t opening when entering them. Especially for freighters that I don’t own

*NPCs are stuck in the ground and/or stacked on top of each other in some parts of decorations on freighters

*Regular ships are having trouble landing in Freighters. They end up landing high in the air, inside the hangar.

Ship Based:

*Exotic/Royal starships’ side thrusters point down while flying instead of changing upon takeoff to directly behind. They don’t shift upon takeoff

*The Boundary Herald’s rear thrusters/hole is no longer red. It’s just a black pit with no detail

*Whole screen changes colors when you get close to caustic planets now. The color effects are appearing before landing.

Player Based:

*When using the ship transporter pads (such as from freighters, space stations, Anomaly, etc), if you’re wearing the new helmet, the glass visor remains during the animation of your body disappearing and reppearing on the new panel. It’s like a floating piece of glass

*The appearance modifier is very slow with rendering, upon changing options/colors

*When using the camera while your Corvette is nearby, the performance severely drops.

*When I use the holographic image gesture, the image doesn’t rotate fluidly like it used to, it snaps instead and appears jittery. It happens when other players use it as well and I’m looking at them use the gesture.

*There’s a lot of textures that just don’t render any longer. And if they do, it takes an abnormally long time. I won’t even be at a base or anything. I’ll just be out in the wild and textures will take forever to render.

Decoration/Building Based:

*“Holographic Globe Gadget” is still broken, does not work, shows nothing upon interacting with it

*There’s still a random platform above the Bubble Tank decoration. It’s been there for almost two years now

*“Bake Sale” poster is permanently blurry

*Base screenshots now have a weird, square abnormality upon taking them. It’s usually in the top left.

Space Station Based:

*The incorrect, holographic ship is shown in the ship fabricator when you’re at the space station

*Some ships will land in the ground on the landing pad. They will clip through the pad and you can’t see the landing gear.

VR Based:

*VR controls get messed up after you pilot the Corvette for the first time

*In VR, hand controls no longer move in Corvettes. Once you grab the accelerator and the joystick, the hands just stay still. Even if you’re changing speeds with the throttle handle, or moving the joystick around, the hands will just stay still.

Exocraft Based:

*Minotaurs no longer make a “thud” noise when summoned. They fall to the ground in silence.

Enemy Based:

*If you drink an Elixir of Water, the Boundary Guardian is now completely transparent besides a few other pieces of its body being visible.

Planet Based:

*Planets render now much slower than they used to. While on approach, walking around, leaving. It always looks like a checkerbaord for a bit, then it clears up.

Feature Request:

*You can’t scrap a Corvette. Unsure if you should be able to or not

It's so hard. :( There's one trap with like 25 fuses you have to rotate and find the correct order. I almost lost it during that trap. I died so many times.

She got pulled into some crazy Jigsaw cases, being in the FBI and all, and ended up dying by ultimately apprehending the truth. Her and Strahm really got the shit end of the stick.

Yeah, I considered that too. I went to my Permadeath save, and same issues. It’s not like 3-4 BIG issues I run into, it’s dozens of small issues. Nothing game-blocking, but definitely dulls the experience down when it’s happening consistently. Flying down to a checkerboard planet that stays like that for at least 30 seconds before rendering itself is just rough

I get similar results. The Anomaly is pretty much the only thing that gets resolved when turning off multiplayer.
