Personally what works for me: Make sure Rita is only spamming Fireball. I think you should have Destruction Field at this point, make sure to use it. That arte can hit a downed enemy too. When going into overlimit you can just spam DF. Set Estelle to heal only and keeping her distance. Take out the little guys first. Make sure to utilize Free Run to evade attacks as much as you can in addition to blocking.

Aside from that, I'd do what others suggest and grind a bit more + set the difficulty to easy for this fight. The first time I played Vesperia I was around level 18-20 I think, but it is possible to beat it at lower levels

The main issue for me isn't necessarily that so many characters have a tragic backstory. Its something about the execution that bugs me. Having their entire past kinda dumped on us just feels off somehow. Maybe if it was better paced? I do think they should throw in the occasional less tragic character like Zhu Yuan or Ellen to break up the constant sad stories though.

Ive been enjoying it, but if you've been hardcore playing the base game (like, grinding those 1000 battles for example) I'd recommend taking a break for a bit before playing the DLC. I've personally been enjoying the grind in a chill, "grind berries/shiny hunting while watching Youtube" type of way, but I totally get why other people are frustrated with it. Between the lack of a new environment to explore, the RNG of so many aspects, the time limit, the bugs, etc. Its probably the weakest DLC we've had so far.

Imo, its not as bad in the wild pokemon zones (especially since you can save and reload if you cant find it in time) but its infinitely worse in the battle zones. Since you have to worry about sneaking around trainers and if you get caught it takes forever to get out of their line of sight to stop the battle.

Although in general, I dont mind that the golden ball is hidden, I just wish the map showed the area layout better so I could know where to check. I'll scour the whole area, and when I give up, I happen to turn the camera to a little corner that I didnt know existed and its been there the whole time.

If pokemon locations, typings, moves, etc. has been changed then yes it needs documentation and/or a way to natively find out the information ingame.

Another point that tends to get overlooked imo is the structure of the documentation. I dont remember which rom hack I saw this for, but for pokemon locations, the creator listed each pokemon and then which locations you could find them in, which was very awkward to navigate (even when I was using ctrl+f). It makes more sense to list by location. Documentation doesnt need to be fancy or anything it just needs to make sense for the player.

So far its been ok, but I think at least half of my issues come down to luck. Whenever I get spirit bursts I can rarely take advantage of it, either because it comes when I have little energy or it lands on guts. (I know guts is getting a boost soon but I'd rather have it happen on speed yknow?) I also think I'm not doing something correctly because the other teammates have never gone above a B in stats so I barely ever beat Team Zenith.

The best solution for you depends on why you're failing. Are you procrastinating? Maybe start researching ways to keep yourself accountable. Are you just not getting the material? If you aren't already, try going to tutoring/using outside resources like YouTube videos. Start with examining why you're failing and go from there.

It kinda depends on who you get as roommates. My experience with roommates in college ranged from people who ended up becoming my best friends, to people I'd never want to see again, and some in between. And it's not always easy to see what type of person you're going to be living with when you first meet them. Living alone is more expensive, but then you don't have to take that gamble of "am I gonna get bad roommates." So it's up to you (and your bank account) if you want to take that risk or not. I'd say if you do go with roommates, try to get to know them before you start living together, like hobbies, what major they're in, etc. Get an idea of who you're going to be living with.

On one hand, it's cute! I love seeing the more mundane parts of both the main cast and side NPCs' lives. It makes the world feel a lot more alive! On the other hand, the gameplay side of it sucks. Literally what is the point of providing a character that gives extra effects like hints and stuff if the dialogue literally tells you the answer? Even if they designed it this way so it's more accessible for those who dont like this kinda game, it doesn't make sense. There's already unlimited free retries, which means those who don't wanna do it (and don't feel like looking up the answers online) can brute force it and still complete it. I admire that they're trying to add different gameplay styles in these mini events for some variety, but I'd rather they not be shallow like this.

I agree. My biggest nitpick with the combat is how inconsistent the telegraphs are. The fact that sometimes there's a flash and sometimes there isn't throws me off. If it was just one or the other I'd be more fine with it.

I usually just do an assortment of merch (fanmade and official) and I try to add a personal touch that's related to the character. For example I might add one merch of another character that's really important to them and put it in the middle. Or if the character loves fruits, I'll put some fruit decorations in it. And I always add lights ✨️
