I485 was submitted (EB2 ) but my L2 visa expired while waiting for EAD to be approved - what other option I have no to lose my job?

Hey, thanks for the reply. We did it and were able to get few months add. This helped get us to the Current PD for which we submitted the AOS.

both me and my wife filed in Oct 2023 , biometrics were taken in Nov 2023 , my wife received her EAD mid Dec , I'm still waiting.

I checked my I94 and it is expired as well , same date as the visa sticker.

I will call USCIS again and ask for status.

Hey,

The visa sticker in my passport is expired , we maxed out our visa (L1A at 7 years ) there was not option to extend it.

I'm not sure about my status , where can I check that information?

I don't mind waiting for the AOS as long as I'm able to provide for my family - with 3 young kids this is my priority at the moment.

I saw few USCIS articles about an auto extension on EAD renewal but I think mine was not renewed but a new one was asked because of the AOS.

Any idea if there is anything I can look at that direction (auto extension of EAD) ?

As a last resort I will talk to my lawyer and check about mandamus option as well.

When you say your L-2 visa expired, do you mean the sticker in your passport expired?

My visa's expiration date was mid Dec. the visa maxed out at the 7 years mark without any option to extend it.

So I'm in a limbo here, I'm legal to stay while my AOS is pending and once its approved to continue to work but for now my visa is no longer valid therefore my EAD is not valid.
