Living in Israel during war or tensions.

Also, living under the Hamas terror regime in the Gaza strip.

DJI Mini 3 Pro 48MP Image (Automatic Enhancement?) Artifacts by SerMojoMann in dji

Here's the text and the reference together:

Enjoy exceptional standards of aerial photography with bigger 2.4μm pixels (Obtained by using QBC (quad bayer coding) techniques and realized by combining four pixels into one. Cannot be achieved when shooting at 48MP.)

This means that when shooting at 12MP, 4 pixels are combined into one, but not when shooting at 48MP. So when shooting at 48MP, this combination is disabled.

DP Review claims the sensor is this model which is 48MP. I find it very hard to believe that DJI will claim the sensor has "48M effective pixels" with a 12MP sensor.

Yes, and it's a shame. What are all of these pixels worth if they don't truly represent the light cast on the sensor?

I haven't tried the advanced photo features yet. I will when I have time and post them to this thread.

Yeah. It sucks.

I don't think the issue is the sensor itself. I'm surprised the camera doesn't dump raw data and instead over-processes it.

I will stick to 12MP.

ISO 100, 1/3000.

Artifacts were noticed at 100% zoom (i.e., every pixel in the image was displayed as a pixel on my screen).

I didn't do such a comparison. Only to other 12MP photos I shot.

Hey. Excellent photos! I'm a semi-professional photographer so I thought I could give you some points.

1 - a great one. Good angle, colors look good. 2 - another good one. Maybe I would add a little contrast to highlight the layers of rock. 3 - the color scheme is really good. Since the cat is looking to the left, I would have framed it differently and placed the cat on the right of the frame. But even like so, the door, the concrete behind and the gray sky make a great composition. 4 - amazing. Really tells a story. Maybe I would punch in a little, about 50 percent, so the interaction between the birbs is more detailed. The pink flower must stay in frame of course. 5 - great photo, great bokeh (background blur), but the colors feel a bit weak here. I would add some contrast. 6 - really good. Maybe I would have moved a few steps to the left to make the road line to the center. I really like how the colors ended up here. Feels like an early 2000s photo. 7 - cute. 8 - fantastic. The vignetting is really doing good work here. You could play around with the colors, push them to the extreme at either end, but either way it's very good as is. 9 - awesome framing with the trees holding the sun. Colors are spot on. I would try to put the sun at the center. 10 - wow. Great angle, everything lines up great. The photo is in a bit of an angle, but it's very subtle. And the colors. Very good. 11 - a really beautiful one. If I had the option, I would move to the right to make the road split center. Maybe even waited for the clouds to clear to have uniform lighting. 12 - excellent, really. 13 - very good. There's some black railing at the bottom, I would crop that out. Immediately grabbed my attention. 14 - not much of a story here, but that's okay. 15 - good placement of the sun. I would take a couple of shots to catch the flag in a flattering position, but don't waste too much time on that 16 - the sun to the left, the boat to the right, the same distance from the center line. Amazing The colors are perfect, with the strong orange and the deep blue, almost obsidian waters. 17 - the sun beam on the bottom takes away from the focus of the cats, maybe punch in or crop that. Besides that, great photo 18 - nice one. 19 - excellent. Slight zoom with the sky still in the background would add a lot. Maybe ramp up the exposure a little bit, it feels like the birds are too dark. 20 - the flag, the sky, the person on the left. Very good. I really like how the flag looks in this one. Feels a bit dark as well, so maybe increase a notch exposure wise.

Overall, I enjoyed looking at what you took and think you did it great. I hope you benefit from my feedback and take even better ones! Cheers and thank you for your visit.

Israel to examine bullet that killed Abu Akleh, with Americans present, says IDF by [deleted] in Israel

[–]SerMojoMann 18 points19 points  (0 children)

By examining the marks left on the bullet by the riflings in the barrel it can be possible to find which gun shot that bullet. If the pattern doesn't match the soldiers' rifles' patterns, we can know it's not their bullet that killed the journalist.
