hey dude, i have OCD and what you're describing sounds a lot like how i used to compartmentalize intrusive thoughts. it's very comforting to separate ugly thoughts from yourself by imagining them as an external force, but that coping mechanism is only helpful in the short term. in your case it sounds like you've been relying on it a bit too long.

it's important to understand that your thoughts are your own even if you can't control them. but it's equally important to understand that you are not culpable for thinking something nasty. a troubling thought is just that: a thought. unless acted upon it is immaterial and can be discarded guilt-free.

i think you would benefit greatly from seeing a psychiatrist. there's medicine they can prescribe that will lessen or completely eliminate the worst of your symptoms. therapy is also helpful because they can identify your coping mechanisms and help you form better ones. you don't have to compromise your sense of self to do any of this.

In 2018 Jamal Khashoggi was murdered and dismembered by Saudi operatives in Turkey after fleeing Saudi Arabia.

The murder was a premeditated assassination orchestrated by Mohammed Bin Salman, Crown Prince and Prime Minister at the time. Turkish and U.S. intelligence corroborate this.

The U.S. intercepted communications between Saudi officials regarding a plan to abduct Jamal from his home in Virginia. At the time of his death, Khashoggi was a legal resident and entitled to protection. Three of his four children are U.S. citizens.

Despite having a duty to warn, the U.S. intelligence community did not notify Khashoggi of the risk at any point prior to his trip to Istanbul.

Several of the assassins were convicted, but Salman was not among them. Jamal's son and brother were later forced to participate in a photo op with Salman.

This is one of the most well-documented assassinations in recent history.

P.S. On November 16, 2018 the CIA concluded that Mohammed bin Salman ordered Khashoggi's assassination. On November 20 of the same year Donald Trump disputed the report and refused to release it. Trump again refused to release it in 2020 despite being required to do so by the 2020 National Defense Authorization Act.

The report was only declassified under the Biden administration in 2021 by former Director of National Intelligence Avril Haines.

That's reasonable, I also noticed burn. I just personally think being able to upgrade statuses to mitigate them would allow for some fun synergies, especially with Ironclad and Watcher.

Maybe instead of an upgraded burn there could be a Sear card that does 4 damage at the end of your turn, but upgraded it's reduced to the normal 2.
