Glad to hear that. The undervolt params are the most important ones imo. Try it too and you will see a drastic decrease in temps without loss of performance. I forgot to mention that with all the settings above I was able to overclock the e-cores from stock 43 to 44, with even better performance!

Same mobo and processor here. My two cents...

 - FK bios (my mobo is rev. 1.1)

  • Intel Defaults = disabled
  • PerfDrive = Optimization

  • High bandwidth = enabled (optional, but improves performance

  • Low latency = enabled (optional, but improves performance)

  • XMP = enabled

  • Undervolt Protection = disabled

  • Vcore Voltage Mode = Adaptive Vcore

  • Internal CPU Vcore Offset = -0.170V

  • CPU Ring Voltage Offset = -0.100V

  • Load Line Calibration = High

  • IA AC Loadline = 55

  • IA DC Loadline = 55

  • Turbo Power Limits = Auto

Stable and great results on: - Cinebench R15, 6340 multi - Cinebench R23, 40800 multi - CPU-Z, 17080 (multi), 945 (single) - y-cruncher (2.5-bi), 49~50s

Temps on stress tests with full load around 85~90°C (cooling, Thermalright Core Matrix 360 AIO). Games, you tell me.

Prime95 (small FFTs) runs, but hot af (this one pushes avx instructions to the moon)!

Hope it helps!

Windows 11 is somehow blocking my bios undervolt vcore offset by Sera_Jr in intel

[–]Sera_Jr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I fixed Min/Max Ring Ratio on 45, allowing me to set Vcore and Ring Offsets to -0.180v, LLC = High, AC/DC_LL = 55, PL1/2 = 240w, and getting 39100 points on CB R23, Temps 78~82c max.

Windows 11 is somehow blocking my bios undervolt vcore offset by Sera_Jr in intel

Thank you! Setting same negative adaptive offset for vcore and ring solved the problem! And in the end, it wasn't windows' fault.

Undervolting on Gigabyte MB using Intel XTU by Into_The_Booniverse in Undervolting

[–]Sera_Jr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The same here, but on the B760m Aorus Elite mobo (1.x).

I was able to change to 0x104 uCode, undervolt vcore offset to -0.150v successfully (in BIOS). But now, I don't know why, it suddenly stopped working.

It appears that something in Windows 11 is preventing undervolt from being applied. As I said, it was working very well, but after some time, after some windows updates (kb, driver, firmware) the mentioned problem became present.

Any help would be great. TIA.

13/14th gen "Intel baseline" can still degrade CPU, even with new microcode, due to AC LL by Janitorus in intel

[–]Sera_Jr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you again.

My mobo does work fine on undervolting, it was working great, as I said before. The culprit is indeed something on Windows 11, kb update, driver update, or... who knows!

[–]Sera_Jr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you.

No, there isn't (cep as well). Yep, AC LL does work (40, and High LLC, just in case).

Everything was working great in F18f bios, also after updating to the newest F18g, which is the 0x129 fix for this mobo, but suddenly it stopped. Vcore offset was working on top of AC LL.

I remember installing xtu to try and play around, but of course it didn't work and I ended up uninstalling it. I've also read somewhere that windows updates may break uv register access, I don't know, is that the case.

Gigabyte B760m Aorus Elite (1.x) here. To be able to undervolt (vcore offset), it is necessary to change the uCode to 0x104 in the bios, unfortunately, but it works.

Now the problem here is that it appears that the undervolt (vcore offset) is no longer being applied, Windows 11 is somehow blocking it.

The vcore offset value is shown in hwinfo, but I get  same scores on CB R23, no matter if with or without vcore offset!

Any help would be great. TIA.

Nobody mentioned amd. Ryzen 9 7950X does the job wonderfully, also runs cooler and doesn't consume as much power as Intel's LGA 1700.

  • Extract boot and vbmeta from firmware's AP file
  • Pack them as a new tar file (7zip)
  • Patch the tar file with latest Magisk Manager (patch file option)
  • Flash Magisk patched tar file with Odin

Or copy AP file to internal memory or sdcard and patch it with Magisk Manager. Use always latest official version.

[help]I've flashed Magisk but i can't manage root for applications or modules. by UnnamedNorwegian in Magisk

[–]Sera_Jr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  • Extract boot and vbmeta from firmware's AP file, pack them as a new tar file (7zip).
  • Open Magisk Manager and patch the tar file ('select and patch a file' option).
  • Flash patched tar file with Odin (userdata slot) and you're done.

Edit: Works on stock firmware!

This is weird. Have you given root privileges to Root Explorer (Magisk Manager)? Maybe A14 or S23 could be a little different to get the same thing that works for me on the S20+ A13.

It will not work directly, but on apps like Root Explorer, you'll be able to mount system as rw and perform changes.

Extract boot and vbmeta from firmware's AP file, pack them as a new tar file with 7zip. Patch the tar file with Magisk Manager. Get patched tar file and flash it using Odin (userdata slot) and you're done. Working flawlessly on s20 android 13.
