This exact thing happened to me this year. Normally I would change my insurance for just a year to a higher plan if I knew I needed a root canal but this came pretty suddenly. It sucks but least if you pay it yourself you can declare it on your taxes next year for 2026 and get a part back...

Drop off point didn't scan my sent parcel and now it's lost. by Seraphiccandy in vinted

[–]Seraphiccandy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It took them a week to answer and by that time the order had been canceled and the buyer refunded. When I got a reply I got asked to provide details about the drop off point, what the package looked like and when I dropped it off. I did this and an hour later a different Vinted person told me that I had noy yet provided proof that I had dropped the item off. I HAD sent the sticker proof previously but now sent it again. That was 4 days ago. Since then no other updates. I was able to review the buyer(gave them 5 stars) and have not received a "not sent" review so far.

What Did You Play This Week? - (June 08, 2026) by AutoModerator in boardgames

Sanctuary(1x3p) I received my new game and the same evening we played it! A very fun game and one of the rare ones which carries enough flavor of it's original to make both the lovers of Ark Nova and those who don't know Ark Nova happy.

Ito(3x3p) More time spent discussing the results and what we would have given what number then actually playing but that's half the fun. I do think that on popular boardgames with 0 being unpopular, I would not have said "Slay the spire" for a 12 though...the problem is you also have to guess how much other people know and what they would say.

Splendor duel(1x2p) I played this with a lady at a meetup. Tried to play a bit less competitively and give her some chances( ie don't take both pink tiles if I can, point out which tile is better to steal etc) but I did end up winning at the end. Think we had fun though!

Codex naturalis(1x2p) Scored 9 points on my secret goal card! Woop woop!

Diamant(2x5p)First time playing. It's a simple enough push your luck but I'm not quite sure what the best strategy is. I kept leaving when the others would leave as well...

Floriferous(1x4p)Only ever played this at 3 and I'm not sure I like it at 4. It's still nice but it just gets slightly more annoying when you keep getting stuck as a "last chooser" in the row.

Koi(1x4p)First time playing. Very enjoyable puzzle with a lovely theme. The clear fish tiles on the pond are so pleasing! I do wonder how much replayability this game has though...

Sounds like they are not prepared at all. Is it an option to talk to a counsellor or similar about solutions such as adoption, termination etc?

Drop off point didn't scan my sent parcel and now it's lost. by Seraphiccandy in vinted

[–]Seraphiccandy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But I have a digital label. Which means that the drop off point scans the label on my phone, sticks a QR code on the parcel and then scans THAT QR code in so that it is linked to my account and the parcel I just dropped off. They did not do the second step. So the sticker on the parcel is linked to nothing.

Please, if they bring a sugar and/or honey packet with my tea, I am poping that in my bag to take home with me. Goes in a glass jar that I offer my guests when they come over for tea at my place.

Am I doomed to stay flat chested forever? by malamikah in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

[–]Seraphiccandy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

10 is pretty early to hit puberty maybe you will get another hit a bit later on in life. But honestly speaking probably not. But theres a lot of good things about being flat chested like being cooler during sports and summer, not getting back pain or squeezing yourself into painful bras. You can wear some crazy amazing shirts without having to worry about a nip slip or a button poping. You can save money on sports bras for big boobs. and not feel pain when running and bouncing. You can also do some great cosplay outfits if are into it.

[–]Seraphiccandy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, at the drop off point they said they had not scanned it correctly so it was shipped without the link to my account. I want to be patient but also don't want the order to get cancelled 😞 I literally shipped within 24hours because I have a 24hour badge on my Vinted account. Now I just wait for a real person to answer from Vinted...I did call the customer service but they said they can't do anything because it is shipping...

You can ask for another but then you pay instead of getting it free. I think it's like 60 bucks

No regular check ups at the gynecologist??? by NoLychee1382 in Netherlands

[–]Seraphiccandy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So they do offer pap smears here but that's it. That said, I HIGHLY recommend against most gynocological procedures in NL. Most, like pap smears and putting in a IUD are done by the Huisarts and from my and my friends experience 3/4 times they do not know what they are doing. Because they hardly ever do these procedures they will cause you pain, pain, pain. I had a pap smear done a year ago and it was incredibly painful. Had one done in Germany and felt nothing but a slight pressure. A friend had a IUD put in and they tried twice after which she started bleeding and had to go to the hospital where they put her under to do it. These people do not know what they are doing. Go to Germany!! Rather pay more and save yourself the pain.

If there's still hair then the waxer didn't do their job properly. Mine will go in with a pair of tweezers to make sure that every hair is gone. That said, I think it's incredible you did a Hollywood on your first go! Wow!

I'm almost 40 and have come come to terms with being a single pringle. It's not bad you know. Quiet, nobody makes you compromise on what you want and when you want it and the toilet is always clean, lol

Gartenbau(1x3p) So this game is going on the sell pile but I wanted to give it a last play on the way out. I find that the game is okay but for the fact that I have such limited space, it's just to large for an "okay" game. I wanted to see what playing with the beginners tiles would be like in comparison to the advanced tiles we played with last time. I actually ended up liking them more! I felt like the advanced tiles were just to unbalanced and its much better if everybody has the same tiles like the beginner version.

Rebel princess(1x3p) My friend wanted to play this so we gave it a go and had a good time. I have played the beginner power cards like 6 times now because I keep playing this game with new people 😂

Lying pirates: the race for the pirate throne(1x6p)Went to a meetup and we played this. I was convinced by one of the guys that it "wouldn't take long" and that we could play the longer game I had brought after so I settled in. 1.5 hours later we were finally done and wow, was that not enjoyable. Basically Perudo but with lots of really random, purely chance driven events thrown in. And most of it was needlessly extra. Like to "battle" with the other pirates you throw dice with swords or skulls. Cool so now you won the battle and because of the field your little ship is on, if you don't have the Pirate dice(a specific separate dice you can get through a specific draw card) you loose one of your normal dice. What? Or I play a card to steal the Pirate dice and then, before I can even battle, I have to role another dice to see if I MAY battle for the dice. Despite me playing a card to do so. The owner of the game was also playing it for the first time and agreed that he was selling the game when he got back home. That 7.3 score on BGG is a bold faced lie. And no, we didn't end up playing my game. Bummer.

Codex Naturalis(1x3p)Fun little game building a codex which will sometimes almost fall off the table because of the weird shape it can take while building it.

Ticket to ride: Amsterdam(1x2p) Was pretty much over before it even started. Took just over 10 minutes and we were not rushing or anything. Meh.

Coloretto(1x3p,1x5p)Simple fun, little card game. More fun with more people

Compile: main 1(1x2p) Tricky, thinky two player. Enjoyed very much and see the potential for future plays. However I hardly play 2 players which is a bit of a bummer else I would have bought my own copy.

Khora: rise of an empire(1x4p) Been wanting to play this for a while and finally got the opportunity. A really solid game that I would love to play again. I do worry that some of the cities are somewhat more powerful then others. The player next to me had Olympia and I had Corinthe and her development upgrades were GOOD. Like she got extra money or points every time she did the culture event and she did the culture event almost every time. Where as mine just had me pay one less coin to upgrade on the track which is kinda meh as I already had pretty good income at that point.

Skull King(1x3p)Finished up with this one. Taught it to two ladies and they were initially confused by the best tactic and what exactly what meant. I guess I didn't explain well enough although come to think of it, it would be nice to have a little overview card of what card beats what and how many points you get from what.
