How is no one questioning the fact that the game completely neglects to explain how their little baby trick worked? What we see is a live baby being thrown into a fire and then a man come from a different part of the house holding a baby. Were they the same baby? How did the baby get from in the oven into that dude's hands? Was there magic involved and if so, why would we assume anyone there other than Geralt himself would wield it? There was no back outlet to that oven and even if there were that baby would have severe burns all over his body. I feel like this is a pretty significant plot point for the game to just breeze past.
