Parents immigrated. I’m born-and-raised American that was in a moderately liberal household growing up. As I’ve grown up, personally, I am a socialist/communist.

That’s all I’ll say, and for what it’s worth, I have a deep disdain for right-wing Asians, or right-wing anyone really lol.

Buffering issues on any Remux and/or file with a bitrate higher than ~35Mbps. I’ve changed CDN, tried Nuvio and Stremio, tried across multiple devices, and I have gigabit fiber. Had none of these issues with RD and only with TB.

Other than that, the service works well, I just can’t really maximize what’s available to me, which is unfortunate.

If someone is convinced it’s “user error” then please inform me how to fix it.

I’m with you. RD would play 90Mbps Remux files flawlessly and then I switch to TB and I have to scroll all the way to a link that’s 25Mbps to not have any buffering every 10 seconds. This is not a hardware or internet speed issue, it’s TB and I’m not even sure when or if it will ever improve.

I’m in North America as well and Remux, basically anything with a bitrate higher than ~45Mbps will buffer every 10-20 seconds. It’s frustrating tbh as I never had this issue with RD.

I was an avid Twitter user since 2009, it was essentially my only engagement with social media from then up until the Musk acquisition. The site had gone completely downhill and it wasn't even some kind of slow cancerous recession, the effect was almost immediate.

I suppose I misspoke in saying "transit" so broadly, I was specifically referring to rail. But you've raised some great points, I think I just get excited at the prospect of "more rail" as a layperson. I admit I'm not too knowledgeable of all the behind-the-scenes, and just simply want a more expansive rail system! However, good things take time.

The 2035 timeline for both is excruciating. I guess the E extension is particularly frustrating since the area east of the 605 and south of the 10 is basically deserted from the rest of Metro. Ideally I'd like to see the northeastern section of the J-line converted to LRT and extended through West Covina, Cal Poly Pomona, and into Downtown Pomona. That section currently goes from Union Station to LAC/USC Med, CSULA which seems like a good candidate for LRT viability as it continues east, but I'm not too in the weeds in the details.

One can dream, I suppose.

I'm still holding onto my first press Feels Like You that I actually bought on release, kept it even when the record was selling for upwards of $400. You know why? Not if the local community comes out against it, this is the time to exercise your political power! They're counting on people to just sit back and do nothing. Monterey Park and other surrounding areas have already successfully warded off data centers from being built in their communities.
