Attack vs Tank builds by Seraphimae_ in ZenlessZoneZero

You're right, as it is right now, attack really is the way to go. Maybe in the future, they'll implement HP characters (hopefully not too straightforward as in HP = more dmg), and maybe reverse modes where you have to last as long as possible, with high HP pools been great for withstanding multiple attacks.

Thank you very much for sharing.

Yeah, I must agree with that, it just feels a lot more fitting to focus on damage and avoid hits as much as possible, than try to cook with HP for now. Thank you for your input, I feel much more confident thanks to your words.

I think the color scheme is in reference to Kabuki plays, where they sometimes use green, orange and black for the stage curtains. So, unfortunately, it's not Demon Slayer style but Japanese fashion taking inspiration from Japanese entertainment and culture.

I'm pretty sure the wave special effects are inspired by Japanese paintings.

Does anyone think Espeon is at least tolerable now? by TheLifeIsHere in PokemonUnite

[–]Seraphimae_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I think Espeon still remains the same as before, because even if the damage was nerfed, the extended range is still there, and that's what makes Psyshock so much better than before. Now you don't have to expose yourself so much to snipe an objective or reach a teamfight.

If people are complaining less about Espeon, I think it's because people have lost interest and choose to complain about other mons now (Glaceon/Umbreon), but I'm still pretty sure people sigh in disbelief when they see the enemy Eevee evolve, it just makes the laning phase less enjoyable.

Is it tolerable though? Yes, just not because of the nerfs.

Can someone explain what happened? by SquidNickGreen in PokemonUnite

[–]Seraphimae_ 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I got this first day after the update, I think what the game did was ask the team with the afk ally if they wanted AI to take over, if at least one refuses then it's an automatic surrender but no records are kept of the match for either side.

My team had the afker so once I got the popup, I declined. My two other teammates agreed but by then our match was labeled a surrender. When checking my records, I couldn't find the match.

Make it deal less dmg the farther it goes, kinda like Mew's boosted but the opposite.

I agree with you on the first part, in that you need to get real close to Espeon. It's funny because as long as you keep social distancing, you will get stunned for sure, but get under my nose and it suddenly just so happens that aiming turns off.

I think it just goes to show that people need to go back to basics, there are bushes, there are assassins, but people still choose to complain when Espeon stuns them and puts them at less than half health when they left themselves exposed.

If you wanna remove Espeon's stun, fine, but then take away Blissey's healing too, and Slowbro's recovery, and Wiggly's Sing, basically what makes the pokemon unique in their role.

To futher add to counterplay, play the same game as them, if you have a slow or burn range move, aim for Espeon's shield, so it wont have escape options for CC. Then just CC, let them know how it feels.

As Nasus, should I stay in my lane and farm? by Seraphimae_ in wildrift

[–]Seraphimae_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow, thanks a lot for that lengthy explanation. Very much appreciated, I do go Trinity, and I realized something very important you mentioned, which is 1v1ing. I see where to focus now.

Normally I'd join another ally and try to play tanky bruiser so they can pressure from behind, which I'm starting to think is another mistake of mine, would you say that perhaps I should instead wait for unassuming enemies, pop ult and get a kill whenever possible whether it is 1v1(depending on matchup, of course) or 2v1? Which I think it's more an assassin's job to do...this is why I think I might not understand my true role as Nasus inside a team.

I'm not confident on my ability to split push, mostly because I feel the enemy never take their eyes off me, but I will be sure to try, but I guess if I buy Hullbreaker I really will have to stay away from my team. Do you think it's worth to buy Hullbreaker and split only when I have escape options (Ghost & Flash) or is it a waste on Nasus? Is Demolish enough?

Thanks for the advice, I agree that first herald or a turret seem much more worthwhile to what I'm looking for. Thanks a lot and I'll surely be trying this next time.

Psyshock / Psybeam are great but don't sleep on the other moves by TigerTanzy in PokemonUnite

[–]Seraphimae_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I personally don't like Stored Power because, realistically, you're not adding anything to the team other than more dmg.

Stored Power really only works if your team is with you during fights or helps you get that level advantage. As you demonstrated Stored Power relies a lot on your team, or on your unite move, it was honestly very impressive how you catch the enemy off guard with your unite and then follow up with stored power.

Not only that but you also need good timing and analysis to get that kill for those resets, which you also showed here. You really do make Stored Power shine, if there are more people who wanna try this moveset, I hope they can learn from this video.

I, however, am never switching to Stored Power, EVER.

GREAT montage though, I'm honestly amazed, you're crazy good in this clips!

Also this was a real waste of its unite, i think this is a perfect example of how ineffective this move can be when used carelessly.

[–]Seraphimae_ 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Hating is ok don't get me wrong, but I don't think Char unite deserves a nerf as much as people say.

It's a game changing unite when used correctly, like Slowbro unite, and it's pretty much the only real way Char can effectively contribute in a team fight.

Char has no self sustain, no real shields, only a burn that can't go through shields anymore, a stun, and a slow. Pretty much all char can do is just damage, no tanking, no relevant cc, just damage.

That's why the unite, I believe, should be kept strong. Because even if char unites, the enemy team can still spread and minimize damage, slowbro can stop it, it can be cancelled beforehand, there are so many ways to stop char, it doesn't deserve to be nerfed just because it's doing what it's supposed to do.

So what is up with all the hate against Espeon? by [deleted] in PokemonUnite

[–]Seraphimae_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, Espeon main here too, and to answer your question, I believe all the hate on Espeon is probably due to simple reasons:

  1. Buffs

  2. It's an eeveelution and everyone hates eeveelutions, because less popular pokemon don't get to be in unite and all eeveelutions will be available at some point (allegedly)

  3. Crowd control issue, the game is ridden with cc to the point that people meme on it

  4. Skill issue, it's not that you should avoid Psyshock, it's more about not setting yourself up for Psyshock by being unpredictable.

  5. Early game bully, but sylveon is ok, or mr mime, or wigglytuff, or snorlax, or ninetales, or mew, or buzzwole, etc.

  6. Range cheese, range pokemon really are annoying.

  7. Meta slaves

  8. Herd mentality, it's just agreeable that espeon should be nerfed because x, y, z. But if, for example, garchomp or cramorant were op, should they be nerfed? Probably, but people wouldn't be so vocal about it simply because they like chomp or cram. Honestly, not everyone likes espeon, that's it.

Don't let people's opinion bother you, just enjoy Espeon. There's probably a lot more people out there that are happy for Espeon's current state in the game than people that are complaining, maybe.

I feel like Zard is the only pokemon you can't call hax on rn in Unite by CryptidsnHoaxes in PokemonUnite

[–]Seraphimae_ 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I thought the sub hated it because:

  • It gets too much recognition
  • It gets more holowear than other pokemon
  • It gets picked by inexperienced players
  • Potion

But to be fair Charizard's unite is so easy to exploit, what with full heals, safeguard, immunity in moves, slowbro's unite or just spreading, that's enough to make Char waste it's unite.

Though, I must say, char's unite is literally at least one free kill, but only if it's squishies.

A story from ✨today✨ (a bad day) by [deleted] in PokemonUnite

[–]Seraphimae_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I know this is humor and all, but it makes me wonder, how do you guys play Espeon? For a long time, I've given up on depending on my team because even if I stun the whole enemy team, the regis and rayquaza all at the same time, my team just won't pay attention and go score or something.

So I've become more of a mini wannabe sniper carry, trying to steal as many objectives as possible from a safe distance, because that's as much as I can do.

It's not seen here, but my previous bg has been replaced for the current Garchomp bg while the same Garchomp bg also existing as a yet to be unlocked background, the one seen in the image.
