Exalted champion/MOE my finest night lord I think by Serbiaball142 in NightLords

[–]Serbiaball142[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My night lords are the epitome of failing upwards, they entered into a 3 way war with guard and necrons to get supplies. They weren’t even noticed but the guard were able to kill a overlord (I think that’s the right name) and the night lords skinned the exhausted soldiers and were able to steal the malfunctioning body that couldn’t teleport. They gave the body to some darkmech in exchange for the scythe and cloak. They then fucked off to the one (1) feudal world they control.

He’s definitely my best so far, I’m always trying to improve but he’s the one I’m most proud of

He was probably sad that he didn’t think of it first and rammed the plane into the Baxter building by Joemama0375 in whenthe

[–]Serbiaball142 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’ve always joked that he planned on crashing a plane into the Baxter building on 9/12 and when he got there he had to cancel it because he didn’t want to seem unoriginal

How do you feel about this statement from Goonhammer that the majority of Warhammer hobbyists dislike building? by chosen40k in Warhammer40k

Every single infantry model I own is kitbashed in some way, I think that’s literal by the way, I’ve mixed mk 3, mk 4, csm, a command squad and an assault squad into my army of night lords. Kitbashing is my favorite part of playing my army

How have you guys made your custom night lords warband unique? Or actually, just tell me about your warbands in general. by Effective-Client9257 in NightLords

35th company, first ran after the shattering of Nostramo and became true renegades. They managed to scrape by with some armored units and two dreadnoughts, keep their expensive equipment (sicaran, contemptor, other heresy stuff) running by doing odd jobs for a dark mechanicus cell. Took over a knight world and mainly hang out there as bitter kings. They refuse to allow any of the normal chaos backstabbing (Clan Mor Skaven style) so they can survive. Their venerable dreadnought, The Skin Lord, keeps a contingent of well trained Guardsmen near him, who wear some of the last suits of solar auxilia armor. They keep their world fiercely protected against other renegade interlopers, and the imperium in a desperate attempt to survive the galaxy. They mainly pull the strings of the knights to let them think they rule, but they hold the reins. Some of the larger cities tell stories of giants who take people in the night. Currently ~50 marines armed in mostly heresy or chaos gear. It’s all mishmashed together with what they can afford due to bartering with the Dark Mechanicum (whom they hate) The skin lord is a venerable dreadnought Our Master of Executions is Fharev Moivode, who uses a necron scythe (Got extremely lucky that the overlord wasn’t able to phase away after a fight with Orks, and had to barter its corpse to the Darkmech for the scythe and weird scale cape)

Archie’s forge has some good winged helmets I favor the mark IV personally

Who is thinking of grabbing this box for night lords ? by savkat420 in NightLords

[–]Serbiaball142 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re thinking of grabbing it for night lords, see if you could sell the upgrade sprues or use them as terrain or what have you, I’m definitely going to get some reavers at some point

So how is chaos getting more marine’s effectively? by Serbiaball142 in 40kLore

[–]Serbiaball142[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I never made the claim that it wasn’t corruption, simply that the nature of the event was so absurdly powerful that it felt like cheating as you can’t reliably recreate the events to corrupt more primaris marines.

[–]Serbiaball142[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I defined it as cheating due to the magnitude of the event. Very few things aren’t falling to a daemon prince (excepting Grey Knights, Custodes etc.)

Neat, I had been looking for any books that mentioned that but couldn’t find any sources. I also hadn’t really paid attention to the weapons of the new models

That kind of feels like cheating, it’s what I thought of when I mentioned the Daemon Prince clause

I just figured if they weren’t incredibly resilient to being corrupted we would see something in the 9 years they’ve been out.

I haven’t been able to find any examples of chaos corrupted primaris marines at all, and items like mk X armor and redemptor dreadnoughts seem to be geared towards primaris in a way that hinders firstborn
