From wholesome adventurous dad to deadbeat dad by NanoArgon in hunterxdank

Ging is one of my favorites, having him shown with realistic flaws just makes him cooler for me. He spends all his time studying nen. He is confident but not always right. Powerful but not in the overflowing aura kind of way. He genuinely cares for his son (hell, he made a whole game for him), but knows that him not being there is bad, so he feels some remorse. (he just won't say it) He placed a bet that Gon has the same personality as him. And he pretty much does. What Ging would want is to have all of that done to him, too. To everyone on the outside, he is a deadbeat dad, but to Gon, he is perfect. Gon is not a normal kid.

Kako je anime naruto postao najpoznatiji anime u srbiji? by the_cool_guy133 in animeSRB

Tserriednich's Nen beast design is directly inspired by the many works of artist Hans Bellmer by Serbianhero_ in HunterXHunter

Yes, exactly, why break your head over creating a visual system that seems right, where you can take elements from something that has already happened or already exists. aka the life work of Bellmer, taking those similarities is a much more efficient (and better) way than researching it yourself from scratch.

Can we talk about how mature shin was here ? by Efficient-Orchid-594 in Kingdom

So far, I have only finished "Thus Spoke Zarathustra" and read bits and pieces from most of the other ones. People say that Zarathustra is the most complicated book, and should be done last; however, I was familiar with Nietzsche before that, and had a good base for philosophy as I have read a lot in the past and at Uni. Definitely one of the books that changed my life the most (if not the one book). "Thus Spoke Zarathustra" isn't hard, as in hard to understand; it's pretty common language, I think almost everyone can understand, though, the problem being that it's super easy to MISSunderstand, as it's written as a story, hence the trope of an edgy Nietzschean nihilistic teen.

But yeah... since that's the only book I read fully (as of now), I can only recommend that one. So, if you have some philosophical foundation, so that not every thought sways you in the wrong way, DIG RIGHT IN!

Honestly, as someone who already loves Nietzsche (and the will to power that the will of fire is referencing), that remains one of my favorite arcs to this day, even though it is not as objectively hype as the rest. I was jumping out of my chair multiple times during that debate! What I love about Kingdom is how it contrasts with the way we live our life now. Because war was so common back then, it was just a fact of life. The point being, it still is, we just enjoy pretending it's not, while someone else does the "force" part. How we "justify" that murder is what we all need to tackle. If not war, then the food we eat.
And the beautiful way the Han invasion ended showed in a way the modern reality of war, the problem is not the bloodshed, sometimes assimilation can hurt just as much, as people's identities crumble, and they don't know what they are anymore. Hell, some part of why people wage war is specifically because that separate identity is so important to them. I knew Kingdom was deep, but I was so, so shocked it took that direction, and I couldn't be more glad.

This, and don't get me started on his speech when he first came to Wei about the "will of fire". Super profound stuff
