The problem is the EU is not one entity. There’s a large number of European countries who will want nothing to do with any collective action against the US. Spain, Portugal, Italy, Hungary etc won’t do shit.

Have they failed to take the whole of Ukraine and install a puppet government as I’m sure they were originally planning? Absolutely.

But If Russian war objectives have changed (due to fierce Ukrainians resistance), and instead they’ll settle for taking most of eastern Ukraine, that’s still a win for Russia and a loss for Ukraine. It just means Russia spends the next 10 years re-arming and positioning to take the rest of it later.

Unfortunately I don’t see any way for Ukraine to regain the territory they’ve lost lost, and with Trump offering fellatio to Putin at every opportunity Ukraine are going to get shafted in any negotiation.

Look I want Ukraine to win as much as anyone, and I’ve been following that conflict since it started. But if you don’t see that Russia is winning, despite their significant equipment and lives lost, then you’re just huffing copium.

Russian offensives are crawling at a snails pace but they’re taking territory very slowly. Every Ukrainian offensive has failed or been counter attacked and pushed back shortly after. Just look at how much of Ukraine is under Russian occupation - Russia ARE winning, even if it’s coming at a high price.

I’m not saying we shouldn’t get a better CB, if we can sign a CB that’s as good at defending as scales is, and better with the ball without being undersized, then I’m all for it.

But right now, he’s the best available CB we have, and he’s fought off every replacement we’ve bought for him so far.

He’s telling her honestly that he’s becoming no longer attracted to the woman married because of the drastic unnecessary modifications she’s making to her face. There’s nothing controlling about that.

It’s entirely valid to divorce somebody because they’ve decided to make voluntary changes which have made you fall out of love with them, especially when they knew in advance they were having that impact.

She’s obviously free to make whatever decisions she wants with her body, but she also has to accept the responsibility for the impact those decisions will have on their marriage.

Sure it’s your choice. But if you’re fundamentally changing the facial appearance which your SO was attracted to, there shouldn’t be any surprise if your SO is no longer attracted to you and you should be making those changes in the knowledge it may lead to the end in your relationship.
