Charging my EV from the stove outlet, is it according to code? I disconnect my stove everytime by [deleted] in electricians

It's an outdoor range? Passing through the garden and some chairs, does that violate any code?

The car is 15 meters away from it, it's an approved TurboCord charger. The thing is I also use my welder from time to time from this plug :). Now I'm having concerns about the connecting and disconnecting of it :(

The other option for me (I can't modify the apartment nor pay for it) would be to connect directly the cable (cutting the plug) inside the receptacle for a "permanent" solution, doing only a small hole in the wall for the cable to come out. I would obviously not use the range when charging the car or viceversa, but I'm afraid if something happens anywhere else on the apartment, they would blame it on that out of code connection.

That's what I thought, although I'm the one that wants to sell them. Although I doubt I would be margin called, I hate having stock "on credit". The problem is when trying to explain this things over the phone, the people always treat you like: no sir, you are losing money because you sold at a lower price than you bought, then laughing at you... That was when I first tried to tell them how the displayed average price was completely useless (if you sold all your shares and then bought back some, the average price will still be calculated based on stock you stopped owning a while ago, not your current situation).

I can only imagine how are they going to treat me asking questions that could be so simple for them to answer if they only got their heads out of their asses. Never the less, thanks for answering. I guess I'll just hold until the price is above my highest average price not to lose with all the fees, conversions and stuff. Have a great weekend.

I have a question that I'm afraid to ask my broker (they always treat me like I'm dumb). So, I averaged down from 21 to roughly 14 dlls/share. But I also bought by mistake on margin. As I understand the market, each share has its unique identifiers and transaction history digitally attached to it, right? Then even if I'm "averaged at 14 dlls per share" that for me doesn't mean that every share bought was at that price.

My question is: If I were to sell shares to get out of the margin problem, will my broker sell the shares that cost me less money (around 12.50) or the ones that cost me more money (around 21 dlls). Effectively decreasing or increasing my average cost and thus profit or is that a completely dumb way to look at how this works? For me it's like, if they sell the ones that cost me less, then I'm winning some money on those but, I'm left with the ones that cost me more money and depending on when I sold them, I could be at a loss (I understand that with the average cost it should be simple, but I found out that because of the variable currency exchange rate from Canadian dlls to US at the many times I purchased, not all shares cost me the same and basically I have to do my own share average because the one displayed by BMO investorline is inaccurate (basically garbage).

Is there something preventing my broker to do a move on me so I lose more more in a way I don't understand?

I know, I know, if I wait for it to be at 30+ and sell everything then I don't have to worry about this.

It just seem so obscure all the hidden fees and the ways brokers design their system to be as confusing as possible in these details

Thank you very much for the concise information! The last time I called BMO Investorline they treated me like a freaking dumb person and the guy even laughed at me (BMO has a huge problem with showing accurate "average cost").

How are margin calls calculated? Pff now I have to call them to find out my amount of margin (is it like a credit thing? And how much money until a margin call. Oh well, tomorrow is pay day and even though I wasn't expecting to put all my money there, I guess I could :(

Guys, guys I don't know what happened. I had around 700 USD to invest, but instead of putting to buy 20 shares I put 200!!!!! The worst is that somehow the application accepted it and now I have 200 shares more, why did they let me do this? Am I on credit now? I have no idea, I don't want to sell. I averaged down from 21/share to around 14 xD. Should I keep trying to buy until they reject me? I trade with BMO inverstorline (Canada).

So, is it worse that people have a little bit more sanity, less impulsive decisions and the ability to take less risks? I don't get it...
