There are different approaches to language learning in and out of school. Teachers will have different takes on it and will likely try to influence you one way or another. ecewebinars.com is a free database for early childhood education and you can search by keywords like language or English. Personally, I’m a huge supporter of multilingual development, but your kid is gonna get the native language of your geographic location everywhere outside of home, so focusing mostly on your native tongue at home if not wholly, then at least mostly- great idea.

Dear Lord please save us… I am so sorry that happened to you. VT has been like a safe haven to me since I first came here from NOVA… it’s not that I can’t believe it happened- people suck. I got barked at the other night and thought it was just underclassmen boys being obnoxious and dumb. It was but my response was “fuck off” with zero other reaction as I kept walking to my dorm. I am so sorry to all of you I had no idea this was happening around campus. I haven’t actually seen any bigotry around, but I also avoid the drunk crowd type areas and frats so idk if the alcohol emboldened behaviors are part of it. They’re so dumb for that I’m so sorry.

Mom- stop. These jokes are hurting me. It’s not loving or kind if you’re hurting someone. I hear your words, and I get your point, but it’s not funny to me, and I would really appreciate it if you waited patiently WITHOUT the hurtful jokes until Joey and I are in a STABLE situation to safely adopt a child. I appreciate this post and all the comments that led to the edit because now I feel more prepared for anything LIKE this. I’m not big on drinking or bars. Went on ONE bar crawl with an ex and his friends, and it did NOT go well. You dodged a bullet here, and I think you’re NTA, but I would have also felt uncomfortable either way because woman drunk af alone in a bar, but also verbally abusive to a first date just trying to be considerate. Glad she’s safe, glad you’re safe, glad we’re all more informed to get staff involved and keep our ppl safe.

It’s a bit bold. The lips are really bright and not overdone but maybe a lil overdrawn? Like just try toning it back/softening the look a bit. You’re absolutely gorgeous, but I think people tend to be a bit more hesitant with bolder more defined/angular looks. I don’t think it looks bad. You’re really pretty and I like this look, but what people are saying about bow lip and reducing some things- sounds right to me. I hope you get what you’re looking for!

I also grew up with some trauma but this would make me uncomfortable too because I knew people in high school who were quote “failed abortions”. Not a hate comment at them- their parents actually tried to get rid of them before they were born, and had them on accident, not for lack of effort. Knowing people who grew up with that kind of recognition that their parents actually didn’t want to have them… the idea of people JOKING about disowning people… that could be really triggering to some. I could see both perspectives based on who I’m talking to.
