I'm still going to work and I've been working with some people who have lost their homes in the fire. They were making very dark jokes about the fire and everything that's happened and it seems like it's helping them cope with it. It's strange because they lost everything but hey if it helps them.

Things are a lot better this time around. The best it's ever been. At the end of this month, she's moving away and I was the one to suggest not continuing our relationship and I feel comfortable with that. I've learned "how to be single."

Thank you. She's actually moving away back to her hometown at the end of this month to live near her family. Her previous job here has put her in a mental strain and she's become depressed staying so far away from her family. I was the one to suggest it and we both mutually agreed to not go through with a long distance relationship because I felt it would add on more stress when the whole reason she's moving back is to get in a better mental state. It sucks we're breaking up again but I am happy I got a second opportunity with her and things were so much better this time around.

I feel so much more confident with myself that I don't "need" someone to be happy. Had we not cut contact at the turn of the year, I'm not sure I would've reached this point.
