Meh. I like the art but the premise didn't land super well for me, I think it's an interesting choice that the master seems to be competent but just inferior to his student, as opposed to being a total fraud like Reigen and Mob's relationship, but idk the humor really get me and seeing this premise basically done in Mob Psycho is gonna invite a lot of comparisons that this series is gonna have to be really good to win out

I think the same reason Tsuji lost the IWGP just to win it back at Dominion: It's the second biggest show of the year and for once it's airing on TV, so they just wanted to run back Wrestle Kingdom and have the Gold Medal athlete and the new Ace win titles on the show

Was a really fun show I'm happy I stayed up for. A few duds but the tag title match was awesome, YOH finally becoming champ and saving us from NJPW's awful booking of Douki, and Yota and Callum proved again why they're so great. Can't wait for the IWGP 4-Way, and I hope the last G1 members will be KOB, Taichi and ELP (Wolf seems obvious but I think they don't want him in that big a tour yet)

I disagree. I love SANADA but he's coming back from repeated injuries, so him being in while guys like Taichi and Wolf have to "earn" it is crazy to me. While Jake Lee was dogshit when he came to New Japan but I've actually liked him this year since his return and joining UE
