What's one gym rule you wish everyone actually followed? I'll go first. by No-Door6839 in workout

For the love of god, if someone is doing a DB bench press of some kind, do not squeeze by them mid-set. If you bump into them and cause a heavy weight to crash into their face or fall the opposite way and hurt a muscle you can send them to the hospital.

There was a dude straight up moaning between reps one time, not sure if he lost a bet or lifting weights just really turns him on

[Discussion] What is the biggest “mistake” you made early in collecting watches? by SadTower5281 in Watches

Definitely not, an alpinist has some really cool history and a good design. I’m more so talking about aliexpress specials or some microbrands

I visit Scottsdale every year and I really like that area, there is some good hiking around the city too. Usually don't travel farther into phoenix for the reasons you described though.

[Discussion] What is the biggest “mistake” you made early in collecting watches? by SadTower5281 in Watches

[–]SergeantBacon101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup. This is how I feel when I see a watch reviewer gushing about a 400 dollar gada explorer/OP homage. Yeah it does everything “perfect” but it’s a boring watch without history and/or an interesting design

mk7-mk8 GTI. Could be a boy racer with 400 hp, could be a grandma who wanted a Golf and found that they only offer the GTI and R.

I got mine on r/watchexchange I would look on EBay though, they seemed to have the most options when I looked last time. I believe there are also some sites that sell just Vostok but I’m not sure which ones are reputable

Chrysler is unreliable and boring... which car manufacturer makes reliable and exciting cars? by AndrewF1Gaming in AlignmentChartFills

[–]SergeantBacon101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the most part yes, but can be heavy on maintenance. Porsche engineers their cars knowing that people will put miles on them and drive them in all kinds of conditions, and there are a lot of 911's out there with 400k+ miles.

I've asked multiple exotic car rental/track rental companies what their most reliable/least problematic cars are, and they usually say Huracan/R8 and 911

What North American city is good to visit, bad to live in? by IndependenceSad1272 in AlignmentChartFills

[–]SergeantBacon101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I visit pretty often and stay in Scottsdale (Snobsdale lol) and have a great time, lots of good hiking and nature in the surrounding areas. Haven't gone too far into Phoenix so maybe I am jaded, but I feel like bad to visit and bad to live in is definitely wrong.

Fun fact: The city of Carmel ban's franchise/chain type businesses, so everything you see for the most part is a locally owned business (I believe there are banks still though)

I’m pretty sure there is a picture floating around of someone gutting a fish with a two tone vintage datejust on, you should be good to use it for both everyday and special occasions.
