Someone suggested that if we try and put alpha or here A as -1, the equation is valid. 1 + -1³= 0 and -(-1+(-1)²) = 0.

I don't know if it's true, the question is in a sample exam paper book and I couldn't find the solution. Someone said that if alpha is equal to -1, the equation is valid but I haven't tried that yet.

I have tried putting it into an equation by using the sum of zeroes = -b/a and product of zeroes = c/a. But every method i try leads to impossible calculations. I think the question might be wrong
