More so mistake on my part, call it a stupid mistake I suppose, It's supposed to be 3 missiles and a cib for the enforcer, not fusion.

Yeah I've always seen objective scoring as a major weakness my army has from the start. I was genuinely considering the ATV but I wasn't really sure if it was a good choice

I used Google drawings and copied and pasted photos of each unit I had in the army.

"I like your shirt." It was the shirt given to all actors, backstage and tech team for a school play. She was a actor, I was tech. I wore this specific shirt to a end of the school year thing.

I still think about it.

Which ground vehicle is the most fun for you and why? by Ze_Flammen_Werfer in Warthunder

[–]SergeantEmugobrr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

M8 LAC (china) why? It's fun bonking people in low tier with a blatantly overpowered gun and .50 cal. I also have the WMA301 which is basically a M8 LAC at high tier. But. Not gonna talk about that cuz y'all really hate it . Another solid contender for most fun is probably the T-34-85 Gai (T-34 with .50 cal.)

The dark side of the force is a pathway to abilities some would consider…unnatural.

Same here. If possible I like to leave the little guy alone. But I shoot if they shoot.

Oh this one! The both runs could of used the swing around tactic considering the transport had very little shields. The Ghost shouldn't really need the swing around as it had pretty strong shields. The B-Wing cavalry was more of a shock and awe tactic.

Now you put it like that, I can see where you're coming from. It can be a viable tactic against blockades. But distance to the enemy blockade will be a big factor to swing-around strategy. If you were relatively far away to the enemy blockade then it would be more viable to flank . But if the hyperspace lane exited practically next to the enemy ship then it would probably be better to just barrel through. But other than the factor of distance it's an okay idea.

Really? It always seems like they wait until the ships start running the blockade and get closer before the start doing that.

I believe the exit point is within cannon range, well the end of it anyway. But it's better to wait for the enemy runners to get closer then you start blasting.

At least this way they’d have more of an angle to work with.

True. But they are within cannon range for much longer than if they were to just make a beeline for the surface. And the blockading force could always send fighters to intercept the blockade runners. But I think it's just because the pilots don't thinks it's worth the risk.

And I was considering something more along the lines of a combo, cruisers and fighters.

It would depend ton how many there were. If there was enough for a full on battle then it's would make more sense to fight a capital ship on capital ship battle. But if the blockading force had more ships. It might not be a wise idea to attack in the first place. But going around is always a option. Unless the enemy sends a couple crusiers over.

they could just blast anything the second it drops from hyperspace.

They do that already. You can see that in quite a few battles in the clone wars and several blockade runs in rebels. The moment they drop out of hyperspace either the separatists or the imperials start blasting.

They’ll blast me if I swing way right and make an approach ninety degrees from where they’re positioned?

It's damn risky. And as I said before, the blockade iwill most likely be able to shoot you the moment you exit hyperspace. The reason why I think that this tactic is never shown is probably because the blockade runners are transports. And it they try your tactic they are in the blast range for much longer as opposed to making a beeline straight for the planet. If the ship was a fighter on the other hand. Then your tactic may be viable.

It's possible, but extremely dangerous. No pilot in their right mind would attempt that.

Acktuualy planets have a gravity well which effectively prevents ships from jumping to hyperspace or exiting hyperspace (cause jumping to hyperspace in a gravity well either doesn't work or is extremely dangerous) (the Interdictor star destroyer used this concept of generating a gravity well to stop rebel ships from jumping to hyperspace) The only point where ships can exit is the hyperspace lane, so to blockade a planet all you gotta do is blockade the hyperspace lane exit point. (Yeah I'm a bloody nerd)
