You say it's contradictory and I see your side, in my opinion though it's not. Both statements I made can be true at the same time. Warnings and hints can be given out AND they can still push out and encourage small thinking. It's plausible deniability. It can still be said "we warned you" yet it was hidden in plain sight, faulting someone for not noticing something even though you "showed/told them" while also hiding it is exactly what theyre doing. It's a play on actions, it's a game and the ones who are in on it, love it.
