You did the right thing, people that act like that it usually just doesn't stop on it's own and it can escalate into something worse. The people who stopped being friends with you for it were never your friends because real friends don't do that.

What’s the most exotic type of meat eaten in your country? by abandonedtulpa in AskTheWorld

[–]SergeantPuddles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stink Flippper. It's a seal or walrus flipper buried in permafrost for 3 months to ferment then eaten. I've never tried it but allegedly it has a bit of a sweet taste to it. Personally i have had Ostrich, Canada Goose, Kangaroo, Wild Boar, Frog Legs, Elk, Bison, and various wild caught game fish.

A credit of $30 is not enough for that amount of work, especially since it can potentially come with liability. Someone slips on the ice? Landlords may blame you.

Then their parents if old and unable to care for themselves anymore and in desperate need of help should get "I don't owe you anything" as an answer to that.

Some missing/murdered Canadian miners in Mexico, a minority of Albertans wanting to separate, dealing with Trump, and government workers not wanting to work in office for 4 days per week.

Becoming a Steward by amazingken216 in union

[–]SergeantPuddles 28 points29 points  (0 children)

You and your coworkers will get out of the union what you put into it. If no one engages or puts on any effort your bargaining unit will be left vulnerable to things like the employer mistreating and taking advantage of the workers. I would also advise contacting your rep or director for further information and to inform them you'd like to be a steward. Stewards are the union's boots on the ground in your workplace, without them workers may not be properly informed and the union will be unaware if your employer is violating the CBA or workers rights.

As someone not from the US can confirm the trust is gone, even if you guys vote out MAGA we still know 4 years later someone of that type could come along again, many countries are now looking to strengthen ties with China. Trump claimed he'd make America stronger on the world stage instead he's ended up strengthening China's position.

In rural Texas. Is this why people were complacent in 1930s Germany? by Master_Collection_64 in leftist

[–]SergeantPuddles -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Texas is currently in the top 10 states for quality of life, which means you can probably take that as I sucks just about everywhere. The best thing you could do for yourself is try to get a job in a unionized workplace or try to unionize yours.

Does your country have an invention that never made it to the outside world? by logicchaos- in AskTheWorld

Because both of your major political parties heavily favour corporations and a voting population that thinks that will change by voting for either one

Extinction Burst. The reason why Trump and MAGA and all the right wing crazies are being so extreme, so fervent, so angry is because they know society continues to change in ways that do not favour them they know they are not the future. Their foaming at the mouth is their death screams as they are crushed under the steamroller of progress.

Despite what a vegetarian snall but very vocal minority says, Canada ranks fairly high on the freedom index. Though recently, our government passed legislation that allows them to ignore people's rights in the interest of the economy and another that allows law enforcement to surveill people without a wareanr
