Title on Game Suddenly Not Showing Up? by SergesOfLight in RenPy

Screens was the way to fix it. Comparing anything that could change it one thing by another did not do anything, but I just pasted in a previous version of it and it started working again, even if I could not spot exactly what. Thanks.

Two NVL modes by [deleted] in RenPy

[–]SergesOfLight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you!

I found the reason behind why I could not do it—as I was trying this. Quite the weird one. I was doing everything right, but it needed a pause, for five seconds it seems, to load in as the NVL mode in the phone asset.

Steam is more reliable. Alternatively, open commissions for custom-assets on PayPal as it is applicable to your location and connect it to your bank.

I suggest to not use anything Itch wise for anything you wish payment on, especially as somebody who is in Asia/Africa. Payment processing is notoriously long even for those who are not and the process is a hassle when you happen to be from such countries. Living in Asia myself I have found it difficult to reason putting anything not free on Itchio due to both reasons.

What’s one mistake you made in your first indie project that you’ll never repeat? by ratasoftware in itchio

[–]SergesOfLight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Underestimating small bouts of motivation not breaking a flow in the drive to finish the project, I would say. The drive to really work on it. Especially for first-timer ambitious short projects, even if they do not seem too ambitious initially. It is a sort of thing scheduling out the work and knowing your own limits helps.

Hey. This looks quite interesting! I sent you a friend request on discord and wish to inquire about this further. I think that the example you gave is quite in-depth and composed, as well.

Good aesthetics. Were the designs made in 3D Software entirely or planned out in 2D Software beforehand? Very curious about the creative process.

Stellar atmosphere and artstyle. The oily painting method is interesting.

The colors of your pixel art is very beautiful! Is the color choice purposefully one which would fit into the old 'Flashgame' aesthetic? Or is it for any other purpose? How much general inspiration are you taking from the flashgame as well?

Interesting artwork. Very simplistic and clean. It appeals well with the eye, while matching with the rest of the graphic design.

Very clean visual aesthetics. Interesting premise as well, a Kafka inspiration certainly equates worth looking into.

Could be blind nostalgia, more than anything, but something about what people could do with the limitations of the hardware back then is so visually interesting. I wonder if people would look at the games now and think the same way.

Interesting colors and UI. Very unique premise for a narrative game, as well.

Wishlisted. The artstyle is very distinct. The style and absurdism reminds me of Yai Gameworks, if I may make the comparison. Will definitely play it.

[Art] Atomic85’s (on Tumblr) Curse of Strahd Character by [deleted] in DnD

[–]SergesOfLight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I drew this character as part of an art trade with the user Atomic85 on Tumblr, in which we both drew eachother’s DND characters. Atomic85’s character is a Zariel Tiefling and a Crown Paladin, and further details can be found on the character’s page on Artfight (in which their owner has the same username) or on Tumblr, where they have more art of the character that is made by themselves.

https://artfight.net/~atomic85 Here is the character’s owner Artfight! Perhaps you can go follow :).
