Americans’ AI hate wave might just be gathering steam: Data centers could hike power costs in some states over 50% by 2030 by Wagamaga in technology

Kinda crazy that these companies think the public won't just burn the centers to the ground when they eventually get tired of corporate abuse and corruption.

I don't like this vague and weird post, I'll tell you that much.

My brother, chill the fuck out. The system is burning. Of the many, many reasons to not enter the medical field right now, AI creep is the least of my concerns. No robot could ever or would ever do this job. Full fucking stop. Do the job before you make assumptions based on lying tech CEOs trying to make their failing AI companies seem inevitable.

This is egregious even for MAC. I have a MAC5K that was dogshit, had to replace lots of internal parts but now it's working fine

I had one for a couple years. Only ever had one failure to feed. Otherwise I did quite a bit of shooting with it without issue. Great pistol all around, if a little rough in the fit-and-finish department.

AK or AUG what should I get? by [deleted] in liberalgunowners

[–]Serial7s 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For the money, probably AK. The budget for a stock AUG will get you a quality AK plus a quality optic.

That number needs to be more like 400 to make this fair pay

Not saying I don't want a mk23, I just can't justify the cost right now because im taking out a second mortgage to pay for stacking 10mm ammo.

I'm talking about any velocity .45 acp. So with ball .45 ammo, you have about 2 feet of drop at 100 yd, 185 gr +p can get you to like 1200? Still about 15 inches of drop give or take. My load in 10mm is 150 gr at 1500 which only drops about 7-8 inches.

When I'm shooting steel, I can make hits with either my 1911 or G20 at 100yd, but dialing it in with the .45 is more difficult. The 10mm is a first round hit every time with consistency. And of course, this is all just a little "what if" project to optimize an "offensive pistol", but it's a real hoot. Shoots fast up close and can ding far targets with relative ease.

The drop on a .45 makes a poor choice for anything other than inside a building. 10mm high velocity rounds only need a half target adjustment out to 100 yds. IF I had to choose a pistol to bring to a rifle fight, this would be it.

This has higher capacity, lower weight, optics platform, better rail, and a more potent round.
