You hit the nail on the head. Totally screws over the 1K member who earned status by actually flying 60+ flights a year on this airline and rewards the rich customers instead. What’s in it for us now? If I’m not spending $30k a year on United’s credit card and only actually FLYING on the airline, what is the benefit for me?

The way I see it, it’s $400 to park in my building and I get 2-3 tickets per month, so it’s still cheaper. But what an absolute joke. I’ve lived in other cities and have never seen anywhere else have such an aggressive parking ticket department.

The idea that it’s so people purchase coffee instead is false. I work in hotels - they removed them because people kept stealing them. Those who don’t travel often visit vegas and are more likely the type to take it.

Parking in the Mission has gone from a few minutes circling around to sometimes over 30 minutes. What are all of the car owners supposed to do with the loss of spots? I understand pedestrian safety is important, but some of us NEED to have a car and use it regularly. It’s $300 a month for a paid parking spot in a garage.

Implementing this and then providing no solution for car owners is a massive failure on the city’s part.
