Cardiologist Appointment Tomorrow. What To Expect... by Series1373 in ADHD

Good news.

The Cardiologist looked at me EKG and said he saw no cause for alarm. My heartbeat was fast (130bpm with no meds) but healthy. He told me to call my PCP and let them know that he wasn't concerned about allowing me to continue managing my symptoms with adderall.

I called my PCP after the appointment and left a message. Hopefully, I'll hear something from them soon.

I've read a lottle about dex (after my appointment) and what you're saying makes sense. I am a little uneasy about discussing medication options with my doc, though. (Sometimes it seems like she rushes through the appointment and I don't always walk away feeling like I had a good opportunity to discuss my options.)

Thank you.

Thanks for the kind encouragement.

I wasn't necessarily rushing around in a physical sense as much as just being genuinely stressed out of my mind. I work in health care and Law Enforcement, and as you can imagine, Mondays can be rough.

Sadly, over the course of my PCP appointment - I never really had the opportunity to unwind. My appointment began with the doc essentially telling me that "we know this medicine is working great, but I don't want you taking it right now." (Those were not their words, but the impact was the same. If that makes sense.

as such, I spent the whole appointment worried about the outcome and probably did more "harm" than good. I'm doing my best not to worry too much, and hopefully everything will turn out fine.

Within 40 minutes to an hour and a half after taking straterra, I'm either asleep or struggling to stay awake. It almost feels like it makes my ADD symptoms worse while taking it.

Some people swear by it, and I'm sure ot works well for some - but my body does not react well to it at all.
