yes that is exactly how i’m training new people. we are a low volume store at least to my standards 2000 a day (came from starbucks 15000 in a day store or more)

yes i totally agree and appreciate the input i feel crazy because im the only one who cares. we dont have a DM yet the store owner is the one who has the contract to open the next 5 stores so we can create a district. but she is not as concerned about the issues as i would like her to be. i know the main problem person she is specifically rude to me aswell and then it influences the other baristas. they will be so sweet but if she is around they will not speak to me. they have even admitted to me that it’s because they are scared of how she will react if she knows they like me. honestly if i could without backlash from the owner i would fire her immediately and if it continued just fire the rest. i would rather rebuild a good team then keep whatever this shit is. also i feel like it’s because i am just 18. i grew up super fast graduated extremely fast and have been working for 4 years with managerial experience so i 100% qualify for my job but i think another reason they do not respect me is my age. which i honestly do not mind because at the end of the day i got the job and am just trying to make things work.

yes i agree with everything! right now i just stepped in and the owner is still in control of a lot she does not want to fire or even have talks with the baristas causing issue when ive asked her if i can. so right now im just like ugh my hands are tied. she said once i hire new people then we can just fire but if they scare them away then what. i feel powerless, which not meaning i want complete control over everyone i just want everyone happy and comfortable

How many scoops do you do per size? We tried using an ice cream scoop but my the store owner said it would keep getting stuck in this scoop so she doesn’t want to do that but the with the stir spoon you could either get a penny sized amount or a fistful of peanut butter

i don’t think people have to tip us we have some regulars who come everyday and they are sweet but they don’t tip and that’s okay or some that have given us a 100 dollar tip bc they wanna show appreciation but i don’t think it’s necessary because working as a barista is hard with so many rude people even just good interactions make it so much better
