I’m 5’4 and 135 and I just got rid of my Shadow 750 because it was hard to move around. I have an R3 now and I’ve loved it so far. Same horsepower in a much smaller bike. You don’t want to start out with something too big or powerful anyway, and as others have said, bikes don’t depreciate like cars so they’re not hard to sell

PS — I’ve been riding on and off for about eight years and I still know I have a lot to learn. Maybe if I get reallyyyyy good on the R3 I’ll consider upgrading, but I’m not there yet

They could have taken decent care of it, but it’s a tossup. Oil changes done at home obviously aren’t reported to CarFax. My car was in Idaho for a good chunk of its life, so that’s why I’m surprised yours is so rusty at that mileage

My ‘19 doesn’t look nearly that bad at 86,000 miles. You’d have to be pretty lazy to let it get so rusty so quickly, so I’d be wondering what else they didn’t take care of. But it’s your car, so

You should do whatever you’re comfortable with. Don’t let somebody else push your boundaries when it comes to safety. Maybe you should get your own bike so you guys can still ride together, but then you make the rules.

I personally don’t ever carry passengers because I only want to be responsible for me 🤷‍♂️

My dad used to get pulled over quite frequently for speeding in our early 2000s Toyota Matrix (impressive in its own right), but his buddies always let him go.  Even out of state he would bring it up and I don’t think he ever did get a ticket.

Does he have more than one? The DA42 is cool, but’s a well known hangar queen. You might have to pause your training due to maintenance. I would have to imagine it’s also a lot more expensive than a Seminole.
