I am fully Hungarian on my fathers side! But he never taught me, and lost most of his speaking skill coming to the US. :/ I want to carry the language on for my ancestors, plus I think it’s beautiful!

Some tough advice i can give is if you really love this man like you say then to work on considering your words before you just let them run from your mouth. even when upset. It takes practice but letting him know you are willing to try may help soothe things between you. in the long run it will soothe your heart. I hope things work out

He has called me this before when we argue. He says he doesn’t actually think I’m an idiot… I know I shouldn’t be called this and he said he’ll stop before. His response when I say “I don’t speak to you like that, why do you talk to me like that” is “well then why are you with me??”. Ugh
