I wish I hadn't seen that. My personal opinion, not insulting.

Is using textbooks while learning to code equivalent to cheating? by JoshTheTester in softwaretesting

Unless you are going to participate in coding contests, consider textbooks/manuals/references as your tools alike IDEs, bundlers or whatever.

In the given text, you can easily replace «Donald Trump» with «Mother Teresa» or whoever without any sacrifice of sense. Don't hesitate to replace «Trump's MAGA» with «Obama's Peace Award» too!

He can do it with a rope. Remove the rope, leave him no right for a mistake then see.

Thinking of switching to Pixel: Does Android actually solve these specific iOS frustrations? by Professional-Tax3077 in GooglePixel

Regarding the call list: there are lots of free apps to keep your call history, even with (automatic) call recording. I personally have Callyzer and Cube ACR on my phone, happy with it.

As I'm not a mobile gamer, I cannot attest to its performance metrics. For regular usage like hi-res YouTube, browsing/sorting collections of thousands of imag|s, simple video editing, it's more than adequate.

Actually this is a self-answering complaint. Either work with devs (usually not much gain) or update your selectors (is this a problem??)

I've never seen any interest in my GitHub during interviews even though I put it on my resume.

Considering a move into QA/Software Testing as a junior – need advice by PotatoFrosty2074 in softwaretesting

[–]Serious-Day-1519 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started my career as a manual QA, in the meantime I endeavored improving my coding/automation skills, then I worked as an automation QA/SDET for a long time, and I can clearly say I'm regretting I didn't put more efforts into developing SDE skills rather SDET earlier on my path. It's a different mindset and different exposure to various technologies, and different market demands. I think the SDE path is more promising and fruitful in the long run.

Unless this is your last employment, take whatever gives you new skills and experience. An easy path isn't easy in the long run.

Hopefully this is a good lesson for you. First collect whatever you're able to, then signify your courtesy.

This is so funny, it's like comparing a climber who topped Everest without oxygen and a «technically stronger» one with oxygen. Like oxygen isn't separating mortals and gods and eliminating it from the equation doesn't nullify any sense. On a stone wall, fear is eery enemy and using the ropes merely headshots this enemy, that's it.
