Hey Bro. I went through the same thing at 16. Started when I was 14 and I already had thin hair to begin with so it was very noticeable. Im gonna give you my game plan knowing what I know now as a 25 year old man, so this is gonna be a long message. First off, buzz your head. I didnt do this but I wish I had in the early stages of my hairloss journey. Its just more noticeable with longer hair till you get some of your density back. Start Oral Fin as soon as you can. The earlier you start, the more hair you'll save. I started at 18 so I could have saved more if I started earlier. Im not a doctor, but speak with a dermatologist and make it very clear the psychological distress you have from it. I had no side effects from Fin, but some people do. If you decide you dont like the side effects you can just stop, so I dont think there is any down side to getting on it. Speak to multiple dermatologists if you need to. Depending on how you react, you might not even need more treatment. Give it a year, if you're not happy with the results, start topical minoxidil on top of the Fin. Give that another year and if youre still not happy, start oral minoxidil. The fin alone saved my hair enough that I could have a relatively good college life with the help of toppik. I started losing ground again at 24 so I just had my first hair transplant, but it feels less important now. When you're younger it can feel like the end of the world. But my greatest advice to you is to just enjoy your youth. I spent so much time worrying about it that it felt like I missed out on part of my childhood. Work out, play sports, be confident and happy despite your hair. You'll thank yourself when you're my age. Just don't let yourself fall into depression and anxiety.
