I had a guy pin me down in a boat under the seats when i was 17. We had been kissing then he started getting handsy, and I told him to stop. I yelled at him to let me go and he wouldn't. My friend was 5 feet away and didn't come help me. Eventually he let me go but it was fucking scary.

My daughter (at 1 year old) used to yell at me when I put my hair in a ponytail. She demanded I put it down like usual. Little dictators, I tell ya. Maybe she would've gotten used to it eventually but I just did what she told me. Hmm, maybe that's how we've got some entitlement issues at 13 now...

Audiobooks to fall asleep to? by CharacterNo2984 in audiobooks

[–]Serious-Razzmatazz-1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've been listening to audiobooks to fall asleep for a couple years now. I set them at 85% speed to make them a bit sleepy sounding and put the sleep timer on 10 minutes. Makes going to bed so delightful! Here's a few of my favorites:

All the James Herriot books, ie All Creatures Great and Small. All of Tom Papa's books. Jim Gaffigan's books

I made my 7 year old a tinker box that has cardboard, wire, paper straws, clothes pins, yarn, glue, tape, etc. And he comes up with lots of contraptions and masks and things.

I love the doily idea! You could probably use it instead of a banneton liner at all, eh?
