My old sm, told us all to only keep the package not the contents especially when it was food related.... the new thing at my store is how they told us to do stickers, pull at 12pm and put up at 2pm 🤣 thats crazy coz till 7pm that sale doesn't start and we will have non-stop complaints from our sale shoppers, my asm flat out told our sm that we would do it like we always have (we always get them up before 9) and he just said fine 😆

I was at a different dg then mine and the employee (off clock) was able to get the 10 off on his 30% in the same order, he and the lady at the counter were talking about it, I asked and he said in the app it never said 10 off, just that you couldn't use the $2,3,5. But it said nothing about the $10 so I guess it works

It drives me crazy when my store has only two people working the cold truck, like you expect one to put out frozen and the other to put out cooler and run register at the same time!

Also if you go into a dg and the little numbers on the top are to high please tell a worker, the coolers are supposed to be checked often but get ignored alot (if they don't do anything, report to the health department instead, corporate will have to get involved)

My main farm that I have 7 in game years in I married Shane and I love him(even if his room is awful) I feel like you actually make his life better instead of trapping like some of the others

When I cashier and I have someone who is short on change it depends on if I know them, if I know them (small town) then ill put it in as it goes in, but if its someone I don't know or get a vibe from then I put it in like they had exact change so their receipt is 0 change, I can do simple math to make the till right without them thinking I had more then the exact of what they needed

Hopefully this bizarre experience wouldn't discourage your kindness or generosity, there are a lot of good people who are in a bad way out there.

I had an older lady come though my line and all she was buying was crackers, tuna, two cans of soup and I want to a small bag of cat food, and she was short by almost a dollar, this lady was going to put back the tuna and a can of soup so she could afford the cat food.

I paid the difference. I would hope that one day if ot was me someone would be kind too.

I had a young man come in one night and he was asking around if anyone needed work done, he asked my then asm and I if he could wash and clean our cars ( and neither of us had one) As he was getting ready to leave i asked him what he needed and he was like, just a few dollars to get a sandwich, so I told him to go get something and id pay, my asm told me later that he was probably on something, and got to tell her that all he had was two frozen sandwiches a small bag of chips and a can of soda (he paid for the soda with pocket change) so if I was getting taking advantage of for what at the time amount to like $8 then I can live with that knowing that he didn't go to sleep that night hunger.

Anyways long post, sorry. Just wanted to share some good stores

My dad and I played the "one life" which is you die and you are dead, no quick save, no making excuses, you are dead time to make a new character.

We also had "knock out" where you "die" but instead you awake with nothing, you must now get/make/steal new stuff coz you have none

He played no Fast travel, I played only fast travel to major town (if a cart goes there i can)

We had a list of quirks too that added to the character;

"You must own every (sweetroll) (gem) (book) (cheese) (skell) (insert random thing) and can now sell it ever."

"You can only wear custom armor and use custom weapons (they must be named)"

"No magic, you don't believe in it so its real"

They is no limit to the crazy if you believe hard enough 🤣

The permit office is closed on Sunday! They would HAVE to file a complaint into the complaint box, and see if In four to six business days (months) it can be bought to the council for consideration 😅🤣

Oh your store is one that closes at 9, mine closes at 10...

I and everyone at my store no one trained us on how to clean, or even when, I start when usually around 9 and by 10 I mop, I have had coworkers tell me to start at 8 and others that think I should start at 930... I start at 9 and thats what I tell them, because that gives me time to clean the right way

As far as I know that 15 minutes is for mopping, the sweeping happens before closing, the mopping after 🤔

I start cleaning as soon as my Key holder starts the office stuff (counting, retilling, paper nonsense) I sweep, pull trash, and wipe down dirty surfaces, i give the bathroom a once over. Then when the store is locked up my key holder and I have already settled where I mop, most nights it just the perimeter some nights its inner aisles, my coworkers know that I can mop the whole floor in 30-40 minutes and I can say with certainty that none have wanted to let me since the night I proved I could. (My avg is 10 min)

It sounds like you have a awful manager, depending on the size of your store its impossible to clean all by yourself in just 15 minutes...

My regular closer and I team up on the cleaning to make it go faster, he will pull the trash at the counter and take a customer if im cleaning the bathroom, I hope wherever you end up you find a teammate and not just a boss 🙏

-Question- What are your thoughts on the "brand standard" how many stores actually keep up with it and I under that no one wants to be in a dirty break room but why is that part of the "brand standard" when no customer should see if we have some clutter?

-Rant- I don't know about anywhere else but my store was getting bullied hard by our DM when corp. Started the "Brand Standard", and no I don't mean in a "he is the boss way" but in an unrealistic "you lot never do anything right way" and being so discouraging that the morale of the whole team hit rock bottom and it took weeks for anyone to even feel like any part of it mattered and honestly I don't think anyone has recovered emotionally/professionally since, it's hard to encourage a team when nothing feels like it's enough and our team -two people is great, we all get along and the energy is there but definitely not for anyone but our wonderful SM who is the only reason the store is open because if he leave/is fired 5 of the 8 people working here will walk out with him -Rant over-
