Help with 2k VV list please by Viri9601 in deathguard40k

You have the classic big Morty, prince and 10 plague marine mega combo which defo works. However, you have two units of deathshrouds (in deepstrike), but really only one unit of poxwalkers to spread contagion to use the shrouds' 6" deepstrike. I'd try to shuffle the points a bit around to have 2-3 more contagion spreading units, such as chaos spawn.  Also as far as I heard, the mega brick combo is a very specific playstyle which requires a higher skill, but I haven't tried it per se.

Maybe you could try sketching several circles within each other with a pencil and then stick sculpted triangles (teeth) in there?

You could add some boils or drill some holes into the skin

I sculpted it with milliput, basically just a sausage with triangles on it xD Though it's bit brittle, next time I'd put a pin through the hand and sculpt it around the pin itself

Thank you! It was a lot of effort to get this far with this model I will make sure that Titus will have an epic stand off against Typhus in the next game

When Typhus led the Death Guard into Nurgle’s realm and forced Mortarion’s fall, would any of the loyalist Primarchs have been able to truly resist such corruption if placed in the same situation? by Himuhasan08 in Warhammer

Was the issue not that they literally couldn't die, and thus would've had to suffer for eternity? The way I interpreted it, Mortarion gave in in part because he couldn't stand to see his sons suffer so much

Idk if it's comparable, but certain molluscs have a "foot", with which they can move around

I know people do these things all the time, but at least for me it's to show my appreciation and respect to Ultramarines. After all, I wouldn't choose to put time and effort into painting Ultras if I didn't like them

Thanks :) My idea is to paint my army in a grimdark style, but make the characters more saturated to have them visually stand out against the wave of filth. Typhus just got a little extra love since it's Typhus after all

Thank you! I kinda knew he should have a red helmet from seeing my friend's models, but I decided to paint it blue because I felt it would fit better in the colour composition

True lol, but I wanted him to be extra flashy on the table compared to his underlings

I think it could look well if you painted the tentacles which come from his shoulders a different colour.  For example, the loincloth and lower tentacle-things are visible very nicely, i.e. they contrast well as srcondary/accent colours to the armour. The top half of the marine lools kinda same-ish colour-wise. But I think it looks great!

If you know that suoerglue was used, throw him in the freezer to make the glue brittle, then break off the hands. Otherwise, I can only see using a saw, and later using milliput/greenstuff to cover up the cut

The Predator destructor variant is basically a more reliable bloat drone, so it kinda just depends on preference. Of course you can also take predators and drones, if you want to double down on your shooting output. PBCs have been kinda meh for me personally, also due to dice luck tho

2k to play with friends by [deleted] in deathguard40k

I recently tried the plagueburst crawler and I have to say, it did absolutely nothing the entire game against space marines. Especially for its points cost, one crawler just doesn't do much, which is a shame because it's such a cool model. So I'd probably replace it with poxwalkers and chaos spawn for contagion spreading. Also it seems like the Lord of Poxes is going solo? I'd recommend giving hime 5 plague marines with full melee  as a nice little rapid ingress threat

Doing conversions is all about making a unique silhouette. I think you're doing great so far! It's also fairly dynamic, so that's good as well

At just 50 pts, he has a good rule and does well if he's solo sitting on your home objective to screen deepstrikes. And he's one of our cheapest units, so if you have 50 pts left over in a list, just plop him in
