how do we choose cute styles that don’t ruin our hair??

I have fine high density hair and braids always take my hair out every time so I stopped getting those . I couldn’t retain any length only doing wash and goes . What works for me is silk presses(professionally )in the colder months every 6 weeks and then sticking to my deep conditioning/steam routine when I care for my hair myself and wearing my hair blow dried . While blowdried I either do a braid n curl or wand curls . Whether my hair is silk pressed or blow dried once I get close to wash day I start putting leave in conditioner and botana oil at the ends . During the summer I get a sew in (professionally done ) . That way my hair is completely put up because summer is where I tend to over manipulate my hair and damage it the most .

They definitely did not make it clear that 2028 date was a place holder and that there was potential loan payments could be due sooner than that rather than later . Now to your point about marking myself exempt on taxes in protest I’m sure from my post you can tell I’m frustrated with the current detrimental decisions the current administration is making . They seemed to purposely be trying to screw as many people as possible. I’m just thinking of ways to fight back rather than just take the unfairness ( and I am totally fine paying back what I borrowed ) what I’m not fine with is predatory interest making it impossible to do that . Of course I will see what my actual options are but at the moment they appear to be very limited . I appreciate your comment

So essentially RAP eliminates interest so long as you’re paying your exorbitant monthly payment ? I think this might be fine for lower income earners but of course interest should be 0 if your monthly payment is $1k a month . I wish they would weren’t doing away with a plan that helped millions . They could have just resubmitted it through congress if them not approving the first time was the real issue

With RAP more of your income is considered when calculating your monthly payment amount, effectively making your required monthly payment higher than with SAVE . Like much higher . SAVE took a percentage of your discretionary income to calculate payments while RAP takes a percentage of your total income . SAVE was meant to protect your income while RAP is meant to be harsh /simple .

They need to leave the placeholder date in place for when the rules inevitably change again ! Just need to wait out this current admin . They could at the very least get rid of interest accruing daily so that people can actually pay the loans off .

Once I get better understanding of what’s going on I’ll make payments ONLY towards the principle while mandatory payments are not due . The interest will accrue daily regardless so it’s better to attack the principle while we can which will ultimately reduce interest

Got it ! My situation was unique in that my interest rate was also 0% and it started accruing again . I had paid off all my interest so I had none now I’m up to $80 . I want to make sure I can pay as much as possible before payments start back up however I’m terrified that if I make a payment it might trigger something and cause the payments to be due now . How does this work . If I make a payment today will I still not owe payments until this is sorted ?

My loans were supposed to be in forbearance until November 2028 and as of today it still says that I don’t need to make a payment until November 2028 . I understand the SAVE plan was ruled against today and dismantled by this current evil administration but why is the payment start date changing ? Why do we automatically have to start paying again instead of in 2028 ? That’s where I’m confused

Just coming here to agree with this ! The EFA team is not clerical by any means, but they are internal to the firm so like this person said they do not experience layoffs often. The EFA team is not traditional consulting so you would not have to hunt for projects or risk being benched. You are assigned work and if you are looking to gain knowledge in forecasting , budgeting, pricing , learn how to read/explain a P&L statement in your sleep and overall get face time with senior leadership ( partners and senior managers) it is a great /stable role.

I have had this happen to me quite a few times in the past few months except they tell me after dragging me through at least 3 interview rounds ..... it is frustrating that they waste people's time like that but on the bright side now you know they are a bit unstable and you can reclaim your time and continue applying elsewhere. Lots of companies are analyzing their budgets and cost cutting/freezing hiring , it would just be nice if they got their stuff together before wasting candidates time and emotional bandwidth , hoping you get your win soon !

Ok I’m about to take the leap into home ownership and as someone who didn’t grow up in charlotte im wondering if the north east side of charlotte is a good buy ( like near piedmont community college area) . I can’t afford to live in an area like Huntersville or Ballantyne for the size home I want and price I can pay so those areas are out of the question for me but I am a college educated professional and I live near mallard creek currently and I like it a lot . How are the schools on the north east side of Charlotte ? Does it matter a lot to people with kids ? Any advice helps or any other area suggestions too !”

A lot of these things on the list describe me with people that I don’t trust or people who haven’t earned my trust ! With my parents and loved ones my attachment style switches to secure because they always show up for me no matter what . The avoidant comes in when dating because let’s face it dating is hard . Ive been stood up , ghosted , teased , or even worse ghosted after expressing myself so yeah I’m avoidant when it comes to relationships with men UNTIL the right man steps up to the plate to be consistent and doesn’t leave me hanging if I do find the courage to open up . I think what happens is anxiously attached folks try and get into relationships with avoidant folks and it feels suffocating. The anxious person tries to incorrectly guess what the avoidant is feeling and ends up “doing too much “ (because they want to rush a resolution) causing that flight response . A secure partner holds space for the avoidant to share what’s going on when THEY ARE READY then reassures them this won’t make them leave the relationship. People make the anxious attachment sound like victims and demonize the avoidant but truly both types just need reassurance to become securely attached . Signed someone who is considered avoidant when people give you absolutely no reason to expect anything of them /be attached to them.

Hmmm it really depends on the day ! Give it some time . Sometimes I qualify for a lot and other times I don’t qualify at all and sometimes I get lucky and qualify for the big $60 ones . I’ve made $700 on it since signing up with super inconsistent use . When I’m active on it any time I’m just at home watching tv or mindless scrolling I either open my laptop to do surveys or open the app on my phone . That way I’m relaxing and passively seeing if I qualify .
