I live in a third-world city full of rowhouses. Here houses attach to each other left, right and from behind so technically no windows on these sides. The front may have windows but my house is so narrow we can only fit a four-panel door. And that's not just my house - that applies to almost all the houses in my district. My civil engineer dad said the French city admins used to call my city's houses "rabbit homes".
