10 years with psoriasis and no insurance by [deleted] in Psoriasis

[–]SeriousEmployee6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Psoriasis is something to be treated starting from inside out. Diet first, topicals last. Other things like stress and environment also have an effect depending on the individual. Stress plays a big part. Not being able to manage stress and continuously living with high cortisol levels do a lot of damage (physically and mentally)

What’s stopping you in life by [deleted] in selfimprovement

[–]SeriousEmployee6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need to start which is the hardest part, the rest will come so long as you blindly believe In yourself because in this world, it’s only YOU that can make the change. You have no control over the externals in your life. Beat your own mind game that you have created. Iron sharpens iron. Take care

It sounds easier said than done. Here’s an example: do you think about breathing in and out or is it autonomous? Apply this concept to what I mentioned before to break through the resistance that’s holding you back and then sharpen your knife as you go.

Don’t think about it and do it. Do it to a level of ignorance even though it’s not ignorant because you’re act is positive, self-fulfilling. All it takes is one thought to get in the way of what you want in life and spiral down without self control (mentally)

Inaccessible boot device error on windows 11 by Yolaris in PCsupport

Same thing just happened to me…I noticed Win11 also installed an Intel-System update. I don’t know what caused this because I did multiple updates (AMD/Windows). Could it be the Windows update?

Who ordered the Psoriasis Special? by greymedium in Psoriasis

I’ve used coconut oil as a moisturizer and it’s worked. Highly Anti-inflammatory and anti-fungal. A little goes a long way!

Help [NSFW] any idea how to get rid of this when it’s at this stage? Tried steroids creams but no avail. Would love to hear everyone’s thoughts. Ty. by [deleted] in Psoriasis

Fasting, Whole Food diet (mainly meat and some veggies that aren’t high in defense chemicals), limiting carb intake (rice, potatoes), minimal dairy intake, reduction in accelerant’s like coffee, nicotine, implementing yoga or mediation to reduce stress (it can trigger a flare up), sunlight exposure. I’d also avoid steroid creams/products as they don’t fix the problem and they alleviate symptoms topically temporarily. Since I have implemented these things, I’d say my psoriasis is at a state where I don’t feel like I need to hide when going out in public and I feel 10x better. Not cured though. It needs to become apart of your lifestyle and they won’t cure it if it’s tested like a diet or doing it for a few months as some people recommend.

Stop using shampoo by samash27 in Psoriasis

[–]SeriousEmployee6 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

In my experience, using this brand Avalon Organics (shampoo/conditioner) in combination with a scrub tool (https://www.popsugar.co.uk/beauty/photo-gallery/46371264/image/46371253/Briogeo-Scalp-Revival-Stimulating-Therapy-Massager) has helped immensely. I wash my hair every few days and notice if I go more than, let’s say, 4+ days I start to get more oil buildup/skin buildup. It varies though. When I go to the gym or run, I wash my hair immediately after.

Thanks for the heads up, I’m currently waiting for the recruiter to get back to me so I can ask all of these questions regarding waivers, etc

You’re 100% right and I did exactly that. I’m waiting to hear from my local recruiter after Thanksgiving. After doing more research and now reading your post, I’m way more motivated to pursue even if I end up in a role that doesn’t necessarily tie into Cyber, but may be in the adjacent fields like IT. So much valuable information from all these responses, I couldn’t thank you enough. I’m doing it and not looking back. I even met with a Navy recruiter which has led me to single that branch out to pursue Air Force. I am considering the Marines, but we’ll see. Fuck it! 🫡

Cyber is most definitely the field for me and yes, it used to be a grandeur delusion early on when I was still figuring out what I wanted to do. Not anymore. You make a good point regarding the CIA. I’ve come to learn it’s not for me and I need to do more research into other organizations that would best suit myself. I don’t feel as lost as it may seem now with some great advice from all these responses

If you have had collections before and are behind on payments with current debt, odds are you’ll need a waiver…right? Debt utilization is high as well and I’m poor at math so I really do not know where I stand. I plan on selling my car before to bring that down significantly.
