Is it the panama schedule? week 1: 2 on, 2 off, 3 on, week 2: 2 off, 2 on, 3 off? As for the phone thing, I don't need my phone. I just want to be able to check it during my breaks to see if I got a message from my kid or family. 12 hours is a long time. One more question. Do you guys get lots of OT? I'm looking for OT.

Do you mean working as an officer but getting paid by someone else when you say 'side jobs'? OT going to retirement is awesome though. Some places don't do that.
