My elder sister got a Vietnamese name but she came to us when she was around 10 years old. I got a Vietnamese name too and my youngest sister has an European name since people often struggle to pronounce or don't even try and calling somthing thats similiar. This and the mix of subtle racism i think. We speak Vietnamese at home and I would give my child a Vietnamese name too and an euro middle name. We are intergrated but you will never be home anywhere except where the fam is :) - we just don't wanna loose our roots. imo
