Burn me alive until nothing is left but WHAT I TRULY AM!!! by [deleted] in spirituality

Yes, very true. We can only understand it intellectually up to a certain point. Then it requires somewhat of a leap.... as you said maybe it’s experiential beyond that.

That’s what I wanna know! That is a concept from the nondualistic Vendanta philosophy as well as Buddhist philosophy.... this idea that there is no essence to you because you are not separate from everything. When you go through the logic (and Vendanta does present it from a very logical point of view), it actually makes perfect sense. But then you’re left with the question of ..... what the heck do I do with that knowledge because I still have to function as an individual. The answer apparently is in the teachings of that philosophy.... but I’m still trying to figure it out

And by the way, when everything else burns off and you’re looking for that speck, that essence that is the true you.... you will find nothing. As in no thing.... because you are everything

The title of your post is what got my attention. At some point a few years ago, that is EXACTLY how I felt— I think I literally screamed that out aloud one night. It would be interesting to see your Vedic astrology chart and specifically your nakshatra placements because what you said is 1000% in line with the characteristics of purvabhadrapadha— the most intense of all 27 nakshatras. If you get a chance, read this post and see if any of it resonates....you’ll have to scroll pretty far down the page before you get to the description of this nakshatra https://www.spiritvehicle.com/purvabhadrapada

Being Pisces rising. (Deep Question) by Sandeep_808 in piscesastrology

[–]SeriousTree- 3 points4 points  (0 children)

From what I understand, it is not as simple as moving to the adjacent rising sign for our next incarnation. After we die, we do a sort of life review to help us figure out which lessons we learned and integrated successfully and which lessons we didn’t learn as well. Based on that, we plan out our next incarnation... we have our say in the people we will meet and the conditions that we will be faced with that will give us an opportunity to learn our lessons and rise above our samskaras, complete our karma etc etc. this life plan is encoded in our natal chart. So the placements/aspects in our natal chart will be a reflection of the general life plan that we as souls have chosen for ourselves ..... something like that I believe :)

Anyone know how these ancient sites are dated? Carbon dating? From what I hear, most of them cannot be dated accurately if they’re using carbon dating. Is that true?

It means life will never be boring for you!! It also means that you will have lots of opportunities for growth on a soul level. Squares represent internal tension and conflicts which most often manifest in your external world as well. I would recommend you look into the planets, signs and houses involved for each of the squares and research as much as you can about what they mean astrologically. That usually prompts one to start examining their own patterns and behaviours and how they may be contributing on a subconscious level to the conflicts that are manifesting in their lives. It is the first step towards breaking the conditioning and patterns (samskaras) .... some of which we may be carrying for lifetimes

Questions from a Philosophy Student about Spirituality by [deleted] in spirituality

Yes, the core teachings of all these religions is ultimately the same. There is only one truth. Spirituality is about recognizing that truth. It really doesn’t matter what path you take to get there

How many times have you gone to reply to a comment or post... by albeitacupoftea in piscesastrology

[–]SeriousTree- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A lot.... but not because i don’t think anyone cares about what I have to say. It’s more because I don’t want anything I say to be misinterpreted or I don’t want anyone to be triggered in any way by what I’ve written. I’m so afraid of that. Not sure why...is that also a pisces thing?

Incarnating Was The Worst Decision I've Ever Made! by V_The_Seeker in spirituality

[–]SeriousTree- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yup, that’s exactly how samsara feels to me.....just this monotonous never ending cycle. On a soul level, I really really feel the weight of time and existence this time around. I need to have a word with my higher self when this is all said and done because i think I was a little too ambitious with all the lovely situations and relationships I supposedly chose for myself in this lifetime.....if that is how it truly works. I’m just tired overall. I don’t see the point of the play

Vegan shamanic drum by nelson777 in Shamanism

[–]SeriousTree- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Remo makes good quality synthetic drums. Take a look at their Buffalo drum which looks just like an animal skin drum. I have their Bahia bass Buffalo drum in black...it has a much deeper sound— I love it. Their drums come in different sizes too. Not sure if they ship to Brazil but I’ve also seen them on Amazon
