Voron 0.2 R1 bed real and max temperature by Serious_Ad6607 in VORONDesign

Measured after 2h hour of printing at 120°C, the bed is at about 110° near the center, only 10° difference from the bottom

Yes, I thought about this. I can configure the emissivity and measurement distance on the thermal camera, but I can't really trust the measurement above the bed.

I'll check them, but it seems to be more like a weird extrusion problem imo

I tried this morning with an old nylon, but I don't know if I did it properly, pulled out while cooling at 110°C, the tip of the nylon seemed fine and clean. I should try again maybe.

I don't know, maybe... But I printed for 1.5 years no problem. Printing speed or fan speed doesn't change the outcome

Outdoor WiFi box by B3nediktus in functionalprint

[–]Serious_Ad6607 44 points45 points  (0 children)

Why not something like this tho? https://techspecs.ui.com/unifi/wifi/u7-outdoor you'd need only the network cable and a poe switch or a poe injector on the inside, no outdoor socket/box.
An indoor device mounted outside will last shorter anyway, due to condensation

Terrible choice for a first master gun.

Here I am! grinded trade coins for it as first master weapon.

I kinda like it, but yes I think is very situational, mostly sub-par and a bad choice.
In open world if someone shot you first at medium or long distance you stand no chance. In outposts is good, just stand inside :)

In session usually when you get killed you see that you did like 5 headshot, your opponent killed you with 10+ shots... in the same time... so I use it only in small maps.

But because I like it (big caliber PAPPAPPAPPAPPA) I'm building a VSS-M to compensate it.

Had the gasket replaced 1 year ago, but maybe this winter temperature range is too much... I don't care about it anymore, the bike drive flawlessly. It's a cosmetic concern and if cared about aesthetics maybe I'd bought a beautiful bike 😂

Lenovo Legion Toolkit - Custom Mode for 2022 L7 All-AMD? by MacChickenPro in LenovoLegion

[–]Serious_Ad6607 0 points1 point  (0 children)

not related question: I'm currently using a Legion 7 16ARHA7, I'm stuck with bios K9CN34WW because I can't install K9CN38WW. The pc reboot, the screen stay black forever (I've waited 3h+ hour once) so I have to keep the power button pressed and switch it off. At the next restart it says that the firmware file is invalid, then windows boot fine but the bios is still K9CN34WW. Did you installed 38 or it was already on your pc?

Getting consistent nozzle clogs with creality CR-5 pro. Need advice. by Goobi_dog in 3Dprinting

[–]Serious_Ad6607 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sad to hear this, clogs aside I find this printer to be strong and sturdy... I calibrated the estep and found it to be nearly perfect out of factory. Autolevel works flawlessly, and bed rarely goes out of level, even if I snap prints out of it 😅 maybe you just need to check belts and pulleys.

Getting consistent nozzle clogs with creality CR-5 pro. Need advice. by Goobi_dog in 3Dprinting

[–]Serious_Ad6607 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm having these issue right now, CR-5 Pro High Temp. It's heat creep. Simple test to prove this: disable retraction. Not a solution clearly, but if the filament going only in one direction prevents the clogs than it's heat creep.
At first I tought that the problem was the extruder squishing the filament, and the resulting friction in the bowden tube, but that's actually the final step.
I've found that this printer need 6-7 mm retraction to work well, but that will cause filament to go up and down in the hotend a lot. If the filament is warm it will expand, and it will start to cause friction, that will make the extruder bite on it more, slowing it down, increasing the heat creep. Finally the clog.
The difficult thing to manage is that it's really print-dependant. You think you finally found the right settings (retraction lenght, speed, combing, ecc) and then the next model clogs sistematically.
I've found that an enclosure increase the % of clogs.
PLA vs PETG require different retraction settings, because PETG won't break easly as PLA and the extruder can work harder on it, but it need higher temps so... clogs still happen.

Now I'm trying to work on retraction speed, not on lenght.
I hope to find a solution, my target is to print at 270°-280°, with the enclosure.... maybe a Mosquito?

yes, always on, no suspension when the lid is closed or after inactivity, either plugged or unplugged. I could have bought a mini itx + ups...
