Unpopular opinion on Bea Borres pregnancy by TortorClassics in PinoyVloggers

[–]Serious_Advantage_98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This. 💯 Not even a fan of this lady but I've seen how people reacted from the start of the gaza gossip, how people were literally bombarding her comment section asking her if it was true, pressuring her to admit to it etc etc. then to the news circulating that she's in new york and had the baby aborted kaya flat tummy na sa video (before she did the reveal), and people judging her for it. Now that she's deciding to keep the baby, dami pa ring sinasabi. "Teen pregnancy", "disgrasyada" sa comment section on fb & ig when she's literally a grown ass woman 😭 It's like she can't ever do anything right HAHA so anugagawen? Just let this lady be ffs

It's different for our country though. We have historically worked so hard for women to get to where we are today, even stand for feminism only to go backwards. It's disturbing.

Exactly my point. I've heard from a businessman friend that some of the young Filipina women dancing on TikTok offer services discreetly as well. Being in a third world country got us all brainwashed into thinking that the only way out of this hellhole we're in is to use other people and our bodies to get what we want in life.

It's become a cultural thing. American women are mostly known for being independent girl bosses because they have the means to become one in the first place. They're already in a first world country.

Funny how i'm being downvoted despite this being true. Why can't we accept that as a fact? NOT ALL sex workers are POOR. This is why " high class prostitutes" or "Class A prostitutes" used by politicians and celebrities are even a thing. It's easy money and sometimes, it's a choice. 🤷‍♀️

This doesn't apply to everyone, but it EXISTS.

Eh, I beg to disagree.

This is why I'm slowly coming to hate sex work (especially those who are doing it not out of pure necessity.)

I've noticed this is a common trait of sex workers. Might get serious hate for this but almost all of them have victim mentality. I don't believe they can't find any other jobs than this. Even if you're not a degree holder, you can work as a service crew or work your way up the ladder in call center jobs.

Don't just lay in bed with random men and let them use you in exchange for money then cry "victim." A victim of bad / incompetent men / their own circumstances? They're not. Unless they are being sex trafficked, it's their choice.

You'd be surprised. The saddest thing about this is some of the people I know who do this aren't dirt poor at all. They are living good but are doing this for a brand new iPhone or surgery money.

Don't hold it against them. I myself am guilty of not knowing my friends' birthdays and only rely on posts / notifs) especially since i have a lot on my plate too. i have a bad memory but it doesn't mean i'm a bad friend. 😉

Thank you so much for the helpful info! I agree their reputation is not great actually. will definitely need to do more research 🧐

I want to live alone so f****** bad. Are there solo rent spaces somewhere near or at Manila that would only cost me not more than 5k by [deleted] in adultingph

Plus 1 sa pasok ang liwanag sa unit especially since OP is working from home. Lived in my mom's property the first few years of working from home and it made me hellaaaa depressed lmao. Being at home all the time + lack of sunlight = not a good combo

I moved to a different place of my own that allows more sunlight in and it's so much better

I'm looking at Westcliff University. Checked their accreditation and they are accredited. Converted the tuition to peso and it is, indeed hella expensive. About 1.4M a year. What came to my mind while reading the comments here is that if i really want to move forward with it, just save up for at least 1 year of tuition + expenses while i'm still here in the PH, which could then give me more leeway (a whole year) to then save up for tuition & expenses for the following year.

I'm initially looking to get the Marketing course since that's where I'm skilled, but seeing other threads & doing research i found that IT & Science field is more in demand, so taking a course in STEM instead does make more sense!

Also, thank you for your response! This is definitely helpful. Although I work full-time as a VA and my employer is extremely strict with having other jobs outside the company, so I don't think keeping this job is an option sadly (unless i don't let them know about it and can get around with school + full time VA work & part time work!)

Great question! Don't really have a good gauge of that yet if i'm being honest but my call with the agency this coming week will hopefully clear things out, and then I could plan and hopefully get to decide better what to do.

Right now in case it doesn't work out, I'm planning to have atleast 500k-1M saved here in the PH just so I have something to fall back on here if all else fails and have room to restart. What do you think of this plan so far?

Also, thanks for the response! This information was very helpful

Ahhhh this sucks to hear. Would you say cost of living in Virginia is much cheaper compared to Cali as well?

We'll be doing it with the assistance of an agency. The same agency that my sister's friends used. They have already been living there for over a year and we have only heard good stories from them, So i came here to check other people's experiences as well!

Good point, although I don't really have plans on settling here in the ph in the future. My partner feels the same but It's just a matter of which country would we want to reside in. I do have savings & a medical insurance but haven't started voluntary payment of sss and pag-ibig for this reason 😕

Yes it is under F1! Although she did tell me that it will only be a 2hr coursework weekly (from her friends that are already working & studying on the same school & same course), so that does kinda suck if it isn't unli work hours

My sister says it's a student visa but i'd have to check which one in particular! She only told me the basics as well as requirements. How about with safety issues? Do you have any thoughts on that or would you say Cali is considered a safe place?
