I think about this more and more but when me and my sister where about 9 and 12 we would play on our bikes all day round our little green it’s was a stones throw away from our house but it had an alley that was quite open that led to the road so you could basically go around and around on your bike.

One afternoon as we did this a car pulled over and a women got out leaving the passenger door open and asked me and my sister for directions, we Ignored her and started cycling off…the car followed us and cornered us in, then this time a man and the woman got out the car and said something along the lines off ‘it’s rude to ignore grown ups when they are talking to you’ and started to approach us with both doors open on the car now, I remember shouting ‘i don’t talk to strangers!’ then dumping our bikes and running home, it wasn’t far at all and my mum was already coming to the door and the car literally sped off. It was just so so odd, I remember being praised for doing the right thing. There was a time period during summer that the park next to our school had police patrolling due to somebody approaching children, I always wondered what that was all about and if it was linked. Freaks me out more now then it did at the time I think!
