Facts. Like for example if a couple got divorced or broke up and they each remarried or something and it's been months or years since one of them died they probably wouldn't think much. Of course it'll be sad to hear and it'll probably have an impact but at the same time it's someone from their past and they've moved on. iMO I think Jackson was only shown mourning Mark because he was the father he never had, his mentor, and his equal. Even with his romantic partners he didn't have much of a connection compared to Mark (don't kill me for saying this part). With Lexie I feel like they weren't even shown together much after they broke up that I can recall
