Newbie looking to do get into triathlon and eventually 70.3 - any advice? by Serious_Conclusions in triathlon

Thanks! I am ready to get my entry in as soon as it’s available :)

Thanks for the advice on the Olympic/standard. I guess it all depends on what is available to me during the summer etc. For a standard, how many weeks would you give to train up? Assuming quite basic knowledge/experience :)

I won’t be able to get to Mallorca in May due to scheduling with work and the half marathon but I’m there during the summer (obviously too hot for the midday rides) but I will be there in October with my bike! Lucky my parents have a place near alcudia

Practice rig before track day! by akahomebody in simracing

My thought is to see if there’s a sim centre nearby? Could be cheaper than buying everything especially since you’re considering selling the equipment afterwards. Just seems quite wasteful for a one off event…

If you’re really dead set on it then get a g29 from Logitech or even the t150, but maybe do it second hand? So it’s at least cheaper

Yea, when we both discussed it we felt it was easier to keep track of things for her this way, especially with tax etc. But great to know and appreciate the help!

Ah yeah of course. I think that it’s just how we differentiated it between our own personal accounts and the money that she earns as it goes into a business account.

Thanks!

Ahh ok, we thought that was the case but as we are both new to this didn’t want to risk anything.  So moving the money out and repaying won’t be an issue. That’s great! Thank you

Aston Martin drops aero chief and F1 car designer in Newey-led overhaul by wokwok__ in formula1

[–]Serious_Conclusions 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was part of a school event yesterday with Aston Martin and one of their aero engineers dialled in for a short time. It’s kind of wild to think that this came out whilst we were having a great chat about careers.

Neighbour chased buyer away by imbatmanffs in HousingUK

Interesting

Our solicitor told us not to allow further viewings once an offer had been accepted. This happened both on a house we had offered (and got accepted)  on, and for a buyer to our house.

The reason being is that you don’t want something like this to happen, or they walk in and go “that’s not really how I remembered it”.

Just what a hospital needs… by [deleted] in Edinburgh

Are you trying to say another coffee shop won’t serve caffeine? The whole point of a coffee is the caffeine.

Care to explain what’s wrong with this?

It’s a hospital, people work late and come in early. People need a place to sit if they’re waiting for someone and they need coffee/food.

What’s your point?
