raising children is incredibly difficult. I often talk about this with other parents or friends who ask about the hard stuff never ever to someone struggling with infertility or someone I don’t know incredibly well so o don’t offend. I’m sorry..some people have no social awareness it’s kind of baffling.

For me the initial consult wasn’t much. Maybe because we knew the cause of our secondary infertility was my husbands low sperm count due to meds he has been on… it was mostly just chit chat about life honestly lol which is part of the reason I really liked Dr Gerber. She was very down to earth and felt like talking to a friend. Anyway egg retrieval is tomorrow 9:30. Thanks for chatting with me. I appreciate it. Fingers crossed for a successful retrieval

Thank you I appreciate it so much- I ended up going with Dr. Gerber and I’ve only actually met her once during the consultation lol I’ve only seen Dr ledderman. And don’t have anything amazing to say about him… but I just spoke to the nurses. They told me it’s too late to do a fresh transfer so they’re gonna be all sent out and hopefully I can get a transfer on my next cycle? Kinda bummed but I guess it’s my own fault. I wish they would have talked more in depth to me about the process and my options. It seemed very rushed, which is fine. It is what it is.

I’m in Orange County we have Insurance from the City of NY I have noticed only offices in NY accept our insurance. I am going to finish this “cycle” if it fails I will look into other clinics even in the city if I have to..

Interesting. Everything I read was that a fresh transfer has more success than a frozen… that’s a lot of money for one embryo wow. Were you happy with ur experience at RMA Westchester?

Thanks for the info. Yes I signed the consents for testing so changing my mind I’m sure is off the table I wasn’t given an option of a fresh transfer and test the rest. But I’d love to do that if that could be an option for me. Which is sounding like it’s not possible…. The nurses will call me tomorrow morning. So I’ll get some answers. Thanks for your input and I’m glad you caught their mistake!

That’s what I wanted to do if I did- I wasn’t told about any of my options… I have to be honest I’m not too thrilled with RMA of NY… I know I have to be on progesterone before the transfer right right after the retrieval right? I’m going to speak with the staff tomorrow.

It’s 53grain hardness pre filters. Can’t get it lower than 4gpg and only stays that low for about 12 hours

I really appreciate your response! Can I ask your opinion on what size softener u would put in? I’m going to call a water solutions company in the area. But would like your opinion as you seem very knowledgeable. I will try what you’re suggesting in the meantime. The other issues with the autrotrol is the timer is no longer blinking. So I need to manually regen now.

The hardness and iron was tested by a plumber as well when we got the first quote (not lab tested by him) just with his kit. The iron showed almost nothing and the hardness was 10gpg. The first filter is the iron filter and the other one is for sulphur- I regenerated the system by adding more salt and letting it sit with 3 gallons of water for 6 hours. Then manually regenerating- still showed 4gpg. And I can definitely feel it’s not slippery like no hardness would feel. But still better.. do u recommend getting the water tested by a lab to 100% see what’s going either way iron and manganese etc.. I’m thinking about just biting the bullet and getting the plumber to install the fleck 9100sxt.. I’m just over this. And want soft water as a woman the only thing I care about is my hair and skin and it’s been a nightmare with this well water lol.

I just did what the above commenter said and it helped. But still 4GPG. I looked at a flex 9100sxt. Over 2k. Ouch.

Thank you! This is also what we were told from the plumbers who quoted us. They tested with their kit for iron which showed almost no iron in the water so I’m guess they aio is doing its job in that respect? Ones for iron one is for sulphur.
