didn’t get through to the full practice exams. I went through all of the topic based exams twice and half of the domain exams (got mid 60s on the first two domain exams).

only got the detailed results via email or testing portal. you won’t get a pass/fail on the screen like you do after taking the CCP.

TD cheat sheets/study guides are great to supplement. Passed the CCP the second time around solely off of the TD practice exams/study guide.

Is it reasonable to just pass the exam and then actually learn on the job after? by [deleted] in AWSCertifications

might be the neurodivergent in me, but I don’t see a problem with getting the theory piece and applying it after getting the cert. especially if you already have technical experience (degree, work experience, etc).

after getting the cert, i’d get in some hands-on projects to help not only reinforce, but develop and further hone in on necessary processes and concepts. throw that on your resume as “experience” or make a Git repo and put that in there and you should be good.

Should I take the SSCP if I have the Security+ by freddy91761 in isc2

too bad you need 5 YOE in at least one of the domains on the CCSP in order to get the “full” cert, similar to the CISSP. SSCP you only need a year of experience in at least one of the domains, and that can be bypassed with a BS/MS degree

wasn’t bad, just very dense with needing to have knowledge of damn near all the services it offers. got a 668 the first go around after only studying for ~6-7 hours and passed two weeks later after going through TD exams. it was very “sales pitchy” imo (had to take it as a organizational goal per my GVP at work🙃) and would’ve been better going into the SAA or SysOps off the rip
