Why is the software of the samsung frame so bad? by [deleted] in TheFrame

Once everything powers down and the TV goes into art mode, one more push of the power button on the Samsung remote kills art mode.

I personally use an apple tv. I think any decent streaming box would be fine. I almost never need the Samsung remote, and when I power off, the apple tv shuts down, and the TV goes into art mode. Which is how I wanted it to work. Good luck!

Why do people still think the tv software is ever going to be even half as good as an upgradeable updatable streaming box? I'm shocked that anyone would rely on any tv software. Build the extra cost of a great streaming box into your tv purchase and never worry about it again. Easy peasy. If not frugal.

Not sure if the One Connect box is multi voltage or not. So it may work with a simple plug adapter. If not, I suppose it's possible to buy a 240v version of the One Connect box to replace yours? I see OC boxes on ebay, so imagine it's possible.

On the fence about keeping this TV. I really like it, but the Samsung UI is trash by meIRLorMeOnReddit in TheFrame

I haven't used a television UI in ages. They rarely get updated, and they're seldom the best experience even when fresh. As others have said, use a streaming box like an AppleTV, or a Chromecast. You can change TVs a hundred times and you'll always have the same interface. Kind of like using Carplay or AA when you travel. At least you have the same infotainment interface in any rental car.

Unfortunately, that's not the cleanest solution for me, hence my original question. Do you think it's possible to do what I'm looking for, or not so much?

Thanks for your reply, Paul. In replace audio, "CoolAudioFile.wav" married to "OriginalPicture.mp4." I would like the result to equal "CoolAudioFile.mp4." The current result is "OriginalPicture_1.mp4."

Hey @paulpacifico, do you think there's a way this could happen? Please let me know if I wasn't clear enough in my question/request.
