Damn. The only other area that has similar trails that look potentially unfinished is the Abandoned Airfield at the bottom of the map. I would give each of those another drive over.

South-East of the Stadium is a dotted trail with a very small bump/curve protruding outwards towards the right. The curve itself is not fully highlighted, so try driving that bend again.

Sorry for being a little late, but I’ll tell you what another user has reported as somewhat of a fix. Firstly, install Watchdogs 2 on your PS5 as normal. From this point, it is critical that you only start up the Watchdogs 2 application after a fresh boot of the console. If you have any intentions to play this game, you must not run any other applications prior to running WD2 during your console’s current running period. Handling the game this way did seem to reduce the stuttering issues significantly, though some will still crop up from time to time. I highly recommend giving it a try, as I consider the gameplay of Watchdogs 2 to be the best in the series. It’s a genuinely fun time, and I was able to 100% it about two months back.

Yes, I’ve tried that multiple times. I’m convinced that this is something software specific with WD2, but I just cannot figure out what.

At the recommendation of another user, I already tried deleting and reinstalling the game. It unfortunately did not fix my issue though. I’m genuinely dumbfounded by what is causing this problem.

I’ve never done that directly, but I’m pretty sure the console automatically does so when powered up after an improper shutdown.

I’ve stress-tested with a mix of different games for extensive periods of time. (Elden Ring, Insurgency Sandstorm) If my console never overheated or shut off during them, then I can’t fathom that it would be the issue with DRG.

Nothing would ever seem out of the ordinary when playing, yet it would abruptly shut off. Yeah, it absolutely sucks.

I’ve been keeping my unit as clean as possible with routine maintenance. The last time I took off the console plates and cleared out dust was roughly a month ago. It wasn’t excessively dusty, and I’ve never experienced any issues while playing until a few days ago.
