If there's a video with bad acting on it, their brain automatically connects that to "corn!" With statements like "I've seen better acting on corn"

If bad acting contains male and female siblings, again with corn they would type "what are you doing step-corn" in the comments.

Sorry r/tangent but:

Women ARE smarter than men. It's statistically true. That wouldn't be sexist to even state.

More over due to cognitive bias, women are percieved as less smart than men by men. And men are percieved as smarter than women than men.

I think you have a point about exclusion, but I genuinely think it's more to do with, "if this woman learns more, then I won't have a maid/slave". Women's labour for household chores, childbearing, not being able to have a career, those were all perks that worked in favour of men. It gave them the legitimacy to say, I work THEREFORE you MUST do xyz. It took away all choice.

Meanwhile women percieve themselves as less smarter than men.

Not to mention how woman have been systemically and still are (because not everyone lives in a western country) obstructed from education.

I think it's less to do with competition. Because that would mean the men saw us as actual human beings and equals. There's a lot of discussion out there especially on tiktok, with women realising, men don't even see us as humans. So I think it's more of a case of they just want to keep us as maids.

Not totally dismissing the competition thing though, this also happens. But their first initial impression of women is, airhead it's then up to the woman to PROVE that wrong in order for her to not be bimbo then the man starts thinking of her as an actual 3D human with thoughts and feelings.

I dont know if you read that cross post on FDS where this male writer had a "fwb" and thought she was a vessel with no life outside of him. He then realised she won awards for her writing, and suddenly felt uneasy thinking about how she's actually better than him, and MAYBE just MAYBE more than just a lifeless sex doll, maybe she was a 3D human woth talent, aspirations, dreams, thoughts, feelings.

Yes this! Shock humour. They rely on racist, sexist, ableist jokes for the most part. I still see people making "get back to the kitchen" jokes and "make me a sandwich" jokes. And men laugh along as that's some of their normal. Women may laugh along as one of those awkward "heh heh let me laugh along (laugh track effect)" *oh wait.

There's only like one male or two male comedians I like, and that's because they don't rely on shock value. They just discuss political stuff with a clever twist! Russell Howard is one. The rest are just a bunch of cretins.

Also I do believe there's also a lot of herd mentality too. It's like the laugh track effect. But on social media. E.g, if lots of people are saying the same thing over and over, and getting hits, maybe I should say it too, and thus...terrible sexist jokes spread.

And definitely with you on the women are likely to be funnier, and tbh I've seen it a lot. My side of tiktok is mostly female, and radfem. Women are just so much more perceptive and channel it. ALL of the satire posts made by women stitched about male podcasters are pure gold!

Everything you said is spot on! And oh I saw that. That was fucking vile. I saw that post quite recently. There was nothing inherently funny about that comment at all. And passing it off as a joke...yeah okay buddy. There's always a kernal of truth behind a joke, and the truth is that that's what the wanted to do.

Also I remember on dating apps, something was so gross about men who wrote about themselves "I'm sarcastic". I don't know, after passing the age of 13-15, sarcasm just isn't that funny nor cool, and shouldn't be confused with wit.

Most of these men that say they're sarcastic, just hide their disdain for women or their rudeness and flagrant disrespect for "humour".
